    My ds 3 read cat hat and dog!!! I know it's not much, but it's a start. He is sounding them out and putting them together!!! I am so excited:lol:

    Oh my!! That is great!! He is 3?!?! My dd3 doesn't even have letter recognition down yet. She can recognize about half of the alphabet. We're working on it though just by reading and doing abc puzzles and stuff like that. I know she'll "get it" eventually.

    But wow - reading at 3! Fantastic!!

    Awsome!! my 3yo and almost 5 yo aren't even to reading anything yet we are still working on getting them both to talk clearer

    YIPPEE!!!! I used to teach first grade and those were the moments that kept me there....I LOVED it when they came in and could READ!!!!

    Wonderful!!!! It's such a special time, the beginning of reading.
    My ds read at 3 too. It is so sweet to listen to them read, at any age. :) But at 5, ds has read in an encyclopedia about the big bang theory(I would have taught him eventually but I wanted to wait!), and we have to spell backwards or speak in spanish if dh and I want to talk without the kids knowing what we're saying. LOL Ah pluses and minuses to everything! ;)
