Holy smokes! I feel so enormous!!! Ignore the dark line across my belly, it's from the pants because they are so friggin tight!!! AHH! I have also had to resort to wearing hubby's t-shirts during the week when I'm home with the daycare. Egads! No stretch marks though...woo hoo!
WOW! You are getting big. How much longer? I got big like that with mu DS. He ended up weighing 9 lbs. 14 oz. Not trying to scare you though. I hope you're still sleeping ok. I remember it being quite difficult at the end. Hang in there.
No fear here! Tanner was 9.6 so I'm use to pushing out a big baby. I'm hoping God will humor me this time though and lay off an extra pound or two for me. 3 weeks to go!
Did the doc's give you a guesstimate on the size of baby? Not that those are ever accurate, depends on the doc. I've had 7 babies, no stretch marks - thank you Lord. Then our eldest dd has one baby and "wow" she was loaded with s.m.'s. Hmmm...must have more of dh's genes or something. What does cause them anyway? Some get 'em, some don't.
I haven't asked the doc about the size, but I would be curious to know, especially since I had a lot of trouble pushing Tanner out when he was born due to his size. She did say his head is down though, which is good. Anyone know if that can change though? I'd imagine he can move how he wants so it may not mean he will stay that way??? Not sure what causes stretch marks. A lot of people tell me it's something you either get or you don't and that you can't prevent them. Not sure what to think myself. With Tanner I lathered on the cream on my belly every day, no marks. But with this one I haven't at all because I got that horrible rash in the beginning...still no marks. So, maybe it is hereditary???
I've heard about a baby being turned wrong, and the mom positioning herself with head down and butt up in the air several times a day for an extended period, trying to get it to turn right. But my understanding is that once a baby drops and the head is down it STAYS that wayl
I didn't have stretch marks with my 1st, but I did with my second. I couldn't tell if I had more or not after my third one! My second one was like that---I was all tummy, and it was huge! He weighed 10 lbs., 2 oz., and I barely got him out! They had a c-section guy all scrubbed up and ready to go when the baby and I managed to get through and come out the regular way. Whew!
A couple tiny marks on my behind and chest with my first, not much for my second but the third one... oh my (and I gained the least amount with him). As for breech positions if the babies head is down at this stage, he'll probably stay down. They can still move around but towards the end of the pregnancy that's usually the position they get into preparing for their grand entry. This far into the pregnancy, I can't imagine the baby turning himself now
Jen, your tummy is so adorable! I can't wait to see pictures of your baby! When I was pregnant with Ems, I ended up getting stretch marks all over the place and they were thick and deep. To this day they still itch and sometimes hurt. Ems was completely up front. You couldn't tell I was pregnant from the back. Patty
