    I'll start:

Gabby: 13 years old, tall and almost lanky. A brown cutie with a touch of acne. (Proactive didn't work.) -LOL. Seeing a derm now. She wants to be an actress and go to a School of the Arts for HS then to UCLA. An honor student (with a lil supervision from Mom w/homework), she loves her ipod and Nintendo lite. She's outgoing at times, but reserved otherwise, feels more comfortable with old friends as opposed to new friends. Tries too hard to fit in at times and I'm counseling her with that. (Returning to Christian school 8th grade in the fall)

Elliott: 8 years old. The easiest of all of my babies, he was a premmie. Sweet as sugar but gets caught up easily and distracted and led. Struggling in 3rd grade with the workload in Abeka in school. First year of not making honor roll, oh well. He is addicted to the Playstation 2 and computer games, I'm hoping SOS works with him! Fun loving and will have a good time just running and horsing around. He says he's the class clown. -Hmmm  (Will homeschool 4th grade at the end of the school year)

Bethany: 7 years old. A sweetie that kinda reminds you of a grandma in a young body, hahaha. She's the academic one, loves to learn and has plenty of questions. She has my name "Mellanese" as one of her middle names the other is "Grace" because she was by His grace after losing our infant son. She's introverted at school and church and this bothers me because I think she gets left out when she sits along the sideline instead of jumping in. I'm talking to her about taking initative. (Will homeschool 3rd grade at the end of the school year).

Rachel: 4 years old. A power to be reckonned with! A whirlwind of energy and determination. A sweetie too, but with a lil attitude. A dancer, can sit in time out and create a game while she's doing it. Ironically, her personality is most like mines (plus some) when I was a kid, and she's adopted. I tease Daddy and say that she is the family wild card as she could surprise us, or not. (Entering Kindergarten in Christian school in fall).

I have 4 kids as well,

Samantha and Malcolm are twins and were 3 mo. premature. coming in the world at about 2 lb.
You can't tell it now, Samanth is very tall and is dramatic, she loves to draw and paint. Malcolm is very Stubborn, and very strong and has to watch how he plays with the other kids so he doesn't hurt them, he loves building with Legos and loves Starwars. they are 9.
Donald is 7 he LOVES any thing to do with Starwars! He climbs like a monkey, he is small for his age. He is in remission from leukimia. He is our "little" guy...... the skiny one in the family.
Eva: she is 6 she acts like she is 16, she is smart and a smarty pants sometimes too. If some one looses something, usually she knows where it is!-- Including the TV remote which she has been known to hide until we offer a $1 to any one that finds it. She is my kitchen helper too.

Matthew is our oldest. He is 34 and a policeman. He is married and has an 8 year old son. Matthew has had Crohn's disease since he was 11 years old and is doing well after losing his colon a few years ago. He rides his motorcycle anywhere he can and loves finally feeling healthy and strong. He is an outdoor kind of guy. He is a lot like my husband. They even sound alike. He is my blue eyed child.

Maggie is next. She is 30 and married with an almost three year old son. She teaches high school and lives about 30 minutes from us. Her husband teaches middle school. She has frontal lobe disorder and takes medication to prevent seizures. She tends to be very outspoken. She looks a lot like me. Dark hair and eyes and tans easily.

Katie is three minutes younger than Maggie. She also looks like me. They are twins. She is married with no children and they do not want any. They have a blind golden retriever. Katie lives across the street from us and loves my younger kids. She is a Q which is a social worker but not for a county agency. She is changing companies next week because hers is closing. She is a passionate friend to those she loves and is my right arm in times of trouble. Would make a great mom but says childbirth is science fiction to her.

Bill is next. He is 17 and mentally handicapped. We got him when he was two and adopted him when he was three. He is tall and skinny and loves everyone he meets. He loves video games and wrestling. He is our unofficial greeter at church. He has to say hello to everyone he meets. He is a good reader and wants to someday get married. Sigh.

Bobby is 17 also. He is shorter than the other kids except the 8 year old. He has red hair and freckles. He is very lazy with school work but wants to graduate and get on with life. He spent a long time in foster care and we adopted him when he was 15. He works at McDonald's and is saving for a car or pickup. He loves NASCAR and is related to one of the big time car owners in NASCAR but the man never contacts any of his nephews as far as we know.

Crystal is 14 and finishing 8th grade. She is Bobby's biological sister and has been with us since she was 3. She was finally adopted when she was seven. Long wait for us all but well worth it! She is slow with school work but has made lots of progress since we started homeschooling this year. She is very involved in our church youth group and has a best friend, Sarah, who is in our youth group too. The two of them have become much closer this year and every weekend go between our house and Sarah's. Crystal has brown hair with some red highlights (natural) and freckles galore.

Emily is eight and has been here since she was 3 weeks old. She is my heartbeat. We were able to adopt her when she was two. She is getting tall and has very long brown hair. She was born with a cleft lip and has had several surgeries. She is finishing third grade and I see her getting so much better in math every day. She was too shy to speak up in public school and say she needed help. She is still shy in some areas but is much better since we started homeschooling. She has a bone graft coming up soon but isn't afraid. She loves monkeys and made one at Build a Bear recently. She is the only one of our adopted children whose name we didn't alter. The others got new middle names but hers just fit her so well. Emily Grace.

These are my kids in a nutshell. My pride and joy. My seven gifts from God. Beth

Leah - Age 7 - First born in EVERY way. She did everything early, rolled over, crawled, walked, etc. By 2 she was reciting the alphabet! Silly little thing. She's a delight. Loves to read, cook and still cuddles with me. She LOVES to help. Whatever needs getting done, usually without complaint. She gets more upset if you don't let her help! She tends to try to "fit in" but won't be disobedient to do it, that may not last thru the teen years, but a gal can home can't she? She is a beauty, too, graceful and elegant with a sense of style that I have no idea where it came from (I'm usually in sweatshirts and jeans). She is an artist. She draws the most beautiful pictures. She takes after her daddy.

Liam - 5 - A boy. All Boy as long as he's not dressing up as Cinderella (oh, wait, we nipped that in the bud a few years ago by buying boy costumes...). A true sensitive soul. Loves to read and color and draw on the chalkboard, hates anything he thinks has to do with schoolwork. If you can trick him into learning, he does quite well! He's really a sweetie and a cuddler. His favorite spot in the house is on my lap. I know as he grows that will change, but I do love my son...something about those boys and their mommas. He's going to be a lot like his daddy.

Rachel - 2 - Hmmmm...what do ya say about the youngest. She's a ball of energy and a force to be reckoned with. She has taken to the terrible twos like a fish to water. She is a clown. And it's hard to discipline her b/c you find yourself laughing at her goofy faces! She is a total comedien and I can see her standing on a stage someday making people laugh. Underneath it all, though, she's really helpful. She loves cleaning up her toys, and helping me empty the dishwasher. She's always standing on her stool to see what I'm doing and see how she can help. And she has a smile that could light up a whole city and a cry that could crumble it to it's knees. :D

    Gosh I love my babes.

    LOL... what a smart girl!!

Bailey -Just turned 11 (5th grade), He's avid reader, especially science fiction. A touch on the introverted side, but homeschooling has helped him more that ps ever did! Although he is very smart, he tends to be lazy and has to be reminded to get things done. He loves the Boy Scouts and anything camping related. He also loves Star Wars. He's a huge help with his sisters.

Mary Grace is 8. She spent 4 days in the NICU for fluid in her lungs and cried lots as a baby (attachment parenting became a must!!). She is in 2nd grade. She is my struggling learner due to a visual perceptual deficit. She is on her 3rd round of vision therapy, and we are finally beginning to see some results with that. She has been taking dance for 6 years-acrobats and ballet-and loves it. She has a beautiful servant's heart and always thinks of others before herself.

Emma is 5 (6 next month). She is my out-going, social butterfly. She makes friends easily and can always find someone to play with. She learns quickly, although amblyopia (lazy eye) slows her down a little with reading. She can be my most fiesty child, but also the most loving. She loves to give hugs and kisses!! She also takes dance (combination class-3rd year).

Olivia is 3. She's big goofball! She loves to sing ("We Are Family" is her current favorite.), and can be heard belting out a tune constantly. She is beginning to think she is a part of every conversation, and always has something to add --usually something that has us ROTFL. She is looking forward to being able to dance with her sisters next year. Livi loves her Daddy, but comes to Mom for the serious stuff! She is our surprise baby and we are so thankful for the joy she brings!

It's cool to hear about everyone's children!

    Here is mine:

Samantha - age 10 (will be 11 in June). She is a very sweet child with a huge heart. She can't stand to see other people hurt or in pain. She is very loving and loves hugs from mom. She is a mommy's girl for sure! She's tall and thin with blue/green eyes and light brown hair. She is very very girly! She loves pretty clothes and likes to put on make up and do her hair. She makes friends very easily but isn't the kind of kid to jump in and start playing with a group of kids she doesn't know, but if they talk to her first she'll join right in. She is a fabulous dancer and is currently taking a tumbling class. She is also a great artist and loves to draw or do anything crafty. She also loves to camp, fish, go boating, swimming and deer hunting. She is very athletic and it good at just about anything she tries. She is an amazing young lady. She likes to be heard and to get her point across.

Grace - age 4. this is my wild child. She is very loud and always into something new. She is very opinionated and lets you know what she thinks. She likes to draw and color and play with stickers. She also loves to terrorize our dog! She will sit on him and hold him down to kiss him - and he weighs 55 lbs! He lets her man handle him. She is a little monkey and crawls and hangs all over the swing set. She never ever sits still - unless she is coloring. She likes to cuddle but won't stay in your lap for more than 30 seconds before she finds something else to get into. She is also very loving and tells me and dh she loves us about 100 times a day.

Eiditied to say....Grace has big beautiful brown eyes and can ,etl your heart with her smile!

Kevin is my 21 yr old this July. We rarely get along right now, because he's got a huge chip on his shoulder.

Jeannie is my 6 yr old. She's going to be your future president and then take over the feminist movement.

This is so neat to read about everyones kiddos. What an awsome bunch of kids!

Hannah is 6-turned in Dec. She is our only. I've been told - I think by someone here, that God gives us children like Hannah because he knows others can't handle them LOL.
Where do I begin? She came out screaming at the top of her lungs. She's full speed ahead every minute that she's awake. Strongwilled, independant, smart, witty, quirky, roll them all into one and there you have Hannah.
When she grows up she wants to be a doctor so she can see real insides of people. Yes, she said that. "Because pictures just aren't good enough!"
She's very social and always has been. People can't believe she's an only child since they have this notion that only children are shy. HA not mine.
She's honest, loud, yep, she makes my head spin somedays lol.

I love her to death and I wouldn't have her any other way. She's made me realize that life doesn't have to be a certain way and we have to learn to accept things the way they are.

Missinseattle-My dd (Hailey #2 ,10yrs) and yours MUST have been twins separated at birth. I don't need to describe her I will just say..see description of above child. Seriously. She is a delight and keeps me on my toes.

So, Taylor,dd #1 is 12. She is sweetness personified. I can take no credit. She could have been raised by wolves and would have turned out just as sweet. Again-seriously.

DD#3 is Emma. She is pure joy. Always happy and has never found a problem that she couldn't solve on her own. Just bubbly.

It has been great reading about everyone's children.

Elisabeth is my oldest at age 5. She is a surviving triplet born at exactly 23 weeks and weighing in at 1 lb 3 oz. She's got gross and fine motor skill delays that we're getting physical therapy for. She loves to sing and has a definite gift for memorization. She's also a collector--- or hoarder, depending on how you look at it; she has bizarre groupings of things that change daily but must be with her or in a place where she knows exactly where they are.

Brandon is my youngest at age 4. He is the ham of the family and, at least in his own estimation, the center of the universe. He's easiest to teach because he lives for praise and enjoys showing off what he knows. He also likes to sing and picks up on things very quickly and easily.

Both of my kiddos can be very sweet and encouraging of one another--- when they're not going out of their way to annoy each other.

I also have two sweet angels waiting for us in Heaven--Andrew and James, who came out into the world with Elisabeth but were called home to be with God. They were both sweetness and light, and I'm looking forward to the day when I can hold them again.

okay, my dd oldest- plans to be a pastor someday, and work with computers as well... will be interested to see where it goes.
He is bright enough to know that He is incharge of his education not the school he now attends and is planning out his summer of going to College courses with other HighSchool kids to get a jump on graduation and get on with life!

dd - Extremely bright child, taught herself to write at age 2 could write her name. She is creative and though I have not had her tested I think she would probably be classified as gifted... but don't tell her that! She already thinks shes smarter than me! Which is why we have problems in teaching, she usually looks at material and gets the whole idea then can do it. When she does not get something right away she freaks! So we work with that. She plans to be a designer of something, clothes interior or something fashion wise.
ds youngest- My all american boy! Loves Baseball, video games and pizza! can take a bible scripture and explain it clearly and come up with a sermon from it.
Wants to be an Archetect ( I cant spell it right yet! LOL ) and or a Pro Ball player. He wants to make a lot of money so he can buy and design a ranch home for his mama!
he is my fast boy, likes to learn fast, conquor projects fast and gets it right 99 percent of the time. So we are going with work that teaches him that way next year! Cool!< Well I teach he works it>

    My 3 blessings:-
13 yo dd: born prematurely but now taller than me, strong-willed but she's using that personality for God's glory, strong in her faith, has a heart for missions, passionate about saving babies' lives (I will post about that soon on another thread). She's sweet and thoughtful. A natural leader, mature & responsible. She's also creative, imaginative, and initiative. She has taught herself how to play piano and how to draw. Very good at Bible memorization. Has a great sense of humor. Modest and conservative. Wonderful helper!

8 yo ds: very intelligent (aka "our walking encyclopedia"), learns fast and retains everything, very athletic (excels at any sports), can play piano by ear, loves rocks, plants, animals,...God's creation. He's also an outstanding chess player. He likes hiking, camping, exploring, and enjoying nature. Likes to be encouraged and likes to encourage others. Avid reader (non-fiction).

5 yo ds: loving, kind, affectionate (gives lots of hugs & kisses), smiles all the time, has an engineering mind (likes to fix things, build things, and solve problems), tender-hearted, easy-going, and independent. He likes computer games, board games, and card games.

All my kids love God. I'm truly a "blessed mom!"

ds15--Good lookin' kid. I've had at least 10 people tell me he looks like Prince William (Charles and Diana's oldest). VERY musical, plays piano by ear or by note and loves playing! We will watch a movie, and two days later he'll play something and ask if I know what it is. I say, "It sounds nice, but I don't know where it's from!" "It's from that movie we watched!" I remember the movie, and although I am musical, I don't remember the music! He can play any hymn or song (though not classical songs) in any key, has no problem transposing! He is a black and white thinker. If it doesn't fit in his little box then it's dumb, stupid and/or wrong! He always like to have the last word in any argument. He's athletic, and does especially well in soccer and basketball. Came 3 weeks early and has been running ever since! Hardly needs any sleep. Wants to be a software engineer or professional soccer player.

ds13--More laid back. Needs lots of sleep! Very caring and giving, he's literally given the shirt off his back before! When he was little he seemed to notice what people needed almost before they did, and he'd run to try to help them somehow. Wants to be a pastor/pilot/missionary. He also says he wants to make enough to buy his mom a home with a big scrapbook area in it! :D (I don't plan on it, pastor's don't exactly make enough to buy homes like he's envisioning! ;) ) Loves sports! Is a trivia and statistics person. When he was 7 he would rattle off the players of the teams and all sorts of stuff about them, because he would read the sports section of the newspaper! He's our one with curly hair and glasses. He's a clown, and has always been naturally funny!

dd10--Caring, loving, giving, happy, joyful, sweet! NEVER threw a temper tantrum, or any tantrum! Learned sign language, and could communicate her wants/needs before she was a year old. It saved on a lot of stress for her and me, cuz she could "tell me" what she wanted, so I didn't have to guess! She's been singing since she had the ability to sing! She would walk around humming and singing even when she was little. She has a very endearing smile, and is kind to everyone. She and I have a very close relationship that I hope lasts through the teenage years and beyond!

My children are all choosing to follow God also! With such a great dh and such great kids (even if we have our "moments" sometimes. It's actually mostly with ds#1, the other two do really well...), I feel truly blessed!

    well I finally have time.

Adrianna, my first born who is 14 and was born very early and med. flight away from me after she was born. Was suppose to have all these problems but is a wonderful shy, very shy young lady.... she has a heart as big as the moon and will do anything for anyone. She loves writing letters to her pen pal and drawing.. doesn't like to talk on the phone much... wants to grow up to be a zooglist.. it took me 13 years to get this very special little girl...

Cassandra, well she wasn't suppose to be here, but God had different plans for this little girl. She is a very funny, and wonderful little girl. If you are down you know she will bring you up. She is 12 and loves to act, and is very good at it.. Loves to pick on her sister or dad if they are to quiet for to long.. Is a big helper and loves to work... she loves to write to her pen pal and loves to work with animals too. they both are very special blessing that God gave to us...

Christine- my almost 21 yr old is what I call my "hot chili mama"! I was stationed in Germany at the time I got pregnant with her and my dh was getting out of the service and came back to the states early. I would buy me a pepperoni pizza with jalepeno peppers for dinner and eat the leftovers for breakfast. She was a 32 weeker who came out fighting and never looked back. I never had any of the preemie problems the drs forcast. She is an interesting blend of her dad and I - fairly light complexion and ended up with my families nose. She is now the proud mama of Toni 16 mo. and Saundra 6 weeks. She is hoping to start school in the fall for ultrasound tech.

Roland Jr. - After my dark oldest, he came out snowy white with red hair. I flew home with him at 2 weeks for my Grandmother's funeral and my mom thought I had done something to him flying so young as he was so different in looks from the oldest. The funny thing is he is now darker than her. He has beautiful hazel eyes and also my big nose. Their versions are just more slender than mine. They are often mistaken for Hispanic or Native American. Until the mood swings kicked in at 6 he was the most loving child! Now it flucuates but it is so nice when I see that side of him.

Jane just turned 17 and is fairer than me but resembles her dad's side in features. Her eyes are even more beautiful than her brothers and is constantly getting comments on them. She has always been on the shy side but seems to be working her way out of it. Working as waitress seemed to help. I want to hate her sometimes because the child wears a size 5 shoe!! My big feet are between an 8 and 9.

Joyce is my "back to school after 2 miscarriages (3 babies) baby. I had given EVERYTHING away and had started classes at the local tech school when I found out I was pregnant. I was paranoid the entire pregnancy but all went well. She has always done things early and is a gifted writer. I do joke that if I had had her first I probably would have quit because she is a talker! Every time I get on here she checks to see if the Story Starter thread has grown. She wants to be a veterinarian when she grows up. She is the darkest of my bunch, almost as dark as her dad but looks the most like me of the bunch.

Jesse: 11yo son with mild ADD. He's very into his gameboy, xbox N64 etc. Schoolstuff he's just not too into it. Did public school for k - 2 grade and was in trouble a lot for being disruptive (didn't find out that until we took him out) He's very smart and really enjoys reading Harry potter books, magic tree house books. He loves to watch history channel and discovery channel and stays up late at night to read his books.

Nyssalynn: 5 yo daughter who has difficulty with her speech. right now she talks like a 2 or 3 yo. Very finicky about things. They have to be just so or else she goes nuts. She loves to look at books. she says she's reading. She makes up stories as she looks at them. She absolutely hates bedtime unless she's allowed to stay awake and look at books. (She has to have her room cleaned up before she is allowed to do so) She loves to color. She attends a special ED preschool and gets speech therapy there. She is going to attend preschool 1 more yr and then it's homeschool with speech therapy at ps.

Morgan: he's my little oddball. Takes after his grandpa and uncle. The only one born in the evening and he's my early riser. So unlike the rest of us. He gets into anything he can even if it means climbing up to get it. (We had to put a padlock on our refrigerator because of this) He can be very aggressive in his behavior. He also has a speech delay. Morgan attends the same preschool as his sister but goes at a different time. (for his assesments he punched the psychiatrist. They believed me after that about his aggressive behavior) He can also be a very loving child. He loves to cuddle with mom. He's 3 almost 4 yrs old. And he loves the wonderpets and Dora on TV. He also has 1 more yr of preschool but next yr him and his sister will be in same class. (the poor teachers lol) Then it's homeschooling with speech in PS.

Our school district is wonderful that way. They actually work with homeschoolers.
