Yeah, that was the idea, to learn about people and places, not from books but from the people who actually live there...inside information I guess. to make it real.
We were surprised today with the journal in our mail!!!! We are excited!!!! We will get to working on it. How wil i know where to send it next??

Kris, By the time it gets to the end of the list of people doing it, you may know. Maybe you can tell AussieMum to put you at the end of the list, so it'll give you a little while to get settled? Then she can check with you near the end to see how it's going.... Just a thought, if you really want to join in.

Nellie, I am planning on scanning it and posting it when it gets back - I am not sure really how to do it, but She said she'd help. also, if you want, you can still join in Kris, if you want to join in, I will pm you when we get to the last couple of people and you can decide then if it will fir on for you, if you want, let me know....There are 17 people on the list now, and we are only at nuimber 4, so it will be a while. dd11 is now as excited as me I think. Every new participant and when it arrives at the next destination is greeted with a cheer and send her running to the USA map on our wall. I am begining to wonder if it will be big enough?! We might need to add volume 2 at this rate! Thank you all for joining in...you guys are so great.
AussieMum, The one I sent around got too big! One of the ladies kindly got another notebook/binder to add the stuff of the rest of the people. When I started it out, I thought there'd be plenty of room too! That was so neat! We still have those upstairs in a box, with Chinook, the stuffed animal dog we sent around, guarding it by sitting on top of the box!
I don't know about postage within USA, but it was less than Aus$5 to get it over there, which I thought was pretty good!
It's not getting as heavy at all as the project I did, cuz there was the dog and other stuff that was heavier. I think it was somewhere around $2 US to send for me, but that was only a few hours drive away and still in WA state.
I have the next book ready to go, but was thinking I won't send it until the other one is almost full, to keep postage down. We could send volume one back here, but I think it would be more fun to keep it together so we can all see what others before us have put in. What do you think? If that sounds OK to everyone, just let me know about 4 pages from the end of the book, and I'll send the next one over.
