Hello! My name is Angela and I'm in Hutchinson, KS. I have four children, ages 6, 4, 4 and 3. I may be getting thrown into homeschooling the three youngest children this upcoming fall and so need some help and advice. I will post a separate thread about that though in the homeschooling forum. As for myself, I work from home. I am a Quality Assurance Manager for a Mystery Shopping company and I also do Virtual Call Center work as well. So yeah, I stay pretty darn busy! LOL Anyway, great to meet you all. Any other Kansans here?
Welcome Angela, I hope you like it here as much as I have this past school year. I am homeschooling our two youngest daughters who are in 8th and 3rd grade. I love it and hope to never send them back to public school. We are so much happier and so much closer as a family now. I love your children's names. They are all so cute. Beth in NC

Welcome Angela! I'm Tiffany and just finished my first year hs'ing my two daughters ages 4 and 10! This is a great place with great people.
Hello, and welcome. I'm from Kansas, but am now living in the Catskills. I hate that we had to move from that area (first we lived in Wichita, then Andover). There are a lot of resources in the Wichita area compared to where I live now, so you should be fine should you decide to take the plunge.
Hello, fellow Kansan! I know some WONDERFUL homeschoolers in the Hutch area. Prof-Mom is right--there are tons of activities in & around Wichita, including the TPA conference coming up this weekend. You can see the schedule at teachingparents.org. This year the TPA is offering a teen track of workshops which our dd is anticipating attending. If you are looking for some support groups, check out the the list at the state hs site. I wish you success and joy along this journey.
Welcome from Jackie in Central Ohio! I homeschool dd(soon-to-be-13), dd11, and ds7. Why do you say you might be "thrown into" homeschooling?
