Wildies are having a lazy afternoon at 2:20 PM. Hope the lions didn't chase them too much. I didn't get to see the buildings but they do have a lodge there.
I need to get up earlier I think You gusy are liek half hour earlier than when I get up and re getting to see the coolest things! Wee!
How cute! The baboons are running around and playing. Two of the little onea are getting right in on the action! There are at least 10 or 12! 4:18pmAT ETA: Oh my goodness, it's a whole "herd" of them! They just ran to the waterhole to drink, and some of them had babies hanging on underneath. You could see the babies little hands and feet clinging to the bigger ones, and sometimes see a little head poke out. Adorable! 4:55pmAT ETA again: After 50 minutes of baboons, they're finally gone! What a treat! I kept going back and forth between the threads and the cam. It's a little after 5pm there now and the sun is setting---pretty view! I can hear something, but the cam can't find it...
Watching the baboons romp, climb and play. Fun! Our ds7 said he wishes he could be a baboon, 'cause no one could tell him what to do! I said, yeah, but no one would want to be around you because you would stink. LOL. He said, yay! no baths! ROFL.
Wow....finally, a busy day at the waterhole!! I have missed seeing this kind of action. It has been a long time.
3 elephants at the waterhole right now! 5:33pmAT Haha--the one that's still drinking is a noisy guy! Keeps making interesting noises!
I must have missed the elephants during math time. Oh well I never give up on the water hole. I'll check back later. Deena, does it seem like some of the animals we used to see like the giraffe have left the area? I haven't seen one in ages or a lion. Do they migrate during certain months?
Rats, I missed the rhino! Oh well.... Beth, I think they do have some kind of migration that they do. It was good to see more animals again, maybe the giraffe will show up again soon also! I hope so!
6:06am AT ZEBRA and Impala at the waterhole! The zebra are standing right in the water to get their drink! Wow, quick drink, now they're out eating grass.
