This was on the news today. Among many things I find completely WRONG about this....one thing that stood out is that and official actually said "This doesn't pose any danger to the other students even if they did see it," ......Oh my gosh...maybe not physical danger to those who saw it...then again...if this is allowed to go on, it could become a physical danger for those who are watching it! They could decide to be the next ones to do something like this. Or maybe they don't decide...someone decides for them! Ok...can you tell I am bothered by all that is happening in the schools! UGH! Oh my heart aches for this world, I pray for the minds of these children and all of our children. Seeing, doing, hearing can all effect us differently. Coming from a past of being s*xually abused it does many things to kids as they grow and go through different phases of life.. Pray for a head of protection over all our own children, I had friends that homeschooled and thought they were protecting there children and they went over a friends house to play and there oldest son was s*xually abused. You just never know anymore. What saddens me the most is that they don't have to report to anyone... How could it of happened four months ago? Actually, it doesn't say much of anything. It says the incident happened. It does NOT say if anyone (teacher, students, etc.) were disciplined in any way. I agree that the school does NOT have to necesarrily make all the details known to everyone. Yes, an administrator DOES need to address the situation. But maybe one IS addressing it. The article simply doesn't say. It seems more an attempt to stir up trouble than anything else.
Well If my child was there at the time of the incident and I was now aware of this, I would have liked to of known. I am not sure why the school is not commenting or why the attorney's reaction was "like no big deal if they saw it"? Do they know what p*rnography does to people, let alone kids? This to me is a form of it. Well I guess because of my past I am a little passionate about this issue. Forgive me in advance. All I can say is Oh My! It doesn't surprise me, but incidents like this continue to sadden me. Are these poor children safe? Who will be responsible if one of these children turns out to be a sexual deviant due to something they witnessed or experienced? I feel reaffirmed about my decision to keep my kids close every time I hear one of these stories.
Lisa, I think that ALL young people IN THAT CLASS should have had their parents talked with. Yes, what they witnessed should never have happened, it was the responsibliity of the administration to inform the parents what exactly had occured, and what they were doing about it. But, IF it was an isolated incident, I don't think it needed to be reported beyond that. Now, if this is occuring on a regular basis (and I consider more than once every five or six years regular!), then the parents need to be informed district-wide.

I feel the same. How anyone wouldn't think this to be a horrible, unacceptable situation from ANY standpoint is beyond me!!!!!:x
