I was wondering if anyone who is a part of a co-op could recommend some classes for the Jr/Sr high age. This is a year old co-op and is going great so far. We would like to add more of a variety for our older students. If you are a member of a co-op what classes do they offer at the higher level? Thanks!
We do a co-op where parents volunteer to teach something (anything) or help with administrative duties. This is my first year being involved in it, but I've been told that one father teachers basic mechanics for automobiles. A mom who is a nurse teaches Anatomy and Physiology. I'm probably going to teach critical thinking and logic. A while back, someone gave me a list of classes offered at her local, and very large  , co-op. I'd be happy to e-mail that document to you.
Crystal... Our local jr/senior co-ops offer Biology 1 & 2, Chemistry 1 & 2, Physics 1 prerequisites Algebra 1 and 2 and/or Advanced Math Music appreciation studying one composer/ music at a time Spanish American Sign Language Origami Graduation Comittee Science Fair entries Public Speaking Art Drama..... These are a few that our local kids those ages participate in! Hope they help! TinaTx
Crystal, can you use the "e-mail" icon to send me your e-mail address? This system won't let me send an attachment, but I'd be happy to send it directly to you once I get your e-mail address. I didn't know if you would want to post it publicly or not.
