I saw a link to this article today. http://www.azcentral.com/arizonarep...rizona-thousands-opt-homeschool-students.html
There is a pretty good spin on homeschooling. However, I only read a few comments and of course, they are trash talking. I love how the concept of socialization was addressed. It made me think of this past week when ds (6) and I gave a ride to a 15 year old boy to our hs PE group. On the way back, the 2 of them were chatting away about this and that. After we dropped the boy off, ds says very seriously "mom, do you think you can call his mom and arrange a playdate for us, we have a lot in common." I love that he has no concept of age differences, it is simply someone he made a connection with based on interests.:D Isn't that who we associate with as adults? You don't ask someone's age, you find out their interests.
