Do any of you ladies have any ideas for a craft that could be made from laundry detergent containers? I have saved quite a few and was wondering about it. I searched on msn but didn't come up with anything. I'm thinking..maybe a bird house of some sort. Although, I'm not sure if these will paint easily. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

A bird feeder sounds like a neat idea - it may not be easy to paint but you might be able to glue construction paper to it to make it a little more decorative for the birds.

You could also make a terrainium with them (sorry if I didn't spell that one right). We have a science book that gives an explanation of what to do to make one of these (you find some 'earth' and put it into the container and then re-create the natural environment that bugs live in - supposed to collect a bug or two to go with it - great project for boys who love bugs :D )

Some practical uses for the empty laundry containers could be a place for lego (so you don't step on it - that really hurts the bare feet...lol), clothes pins, bath toys, etc.

Just some ideas off the top of my head...
