Hi Everyone! I know it has been a while since I've been here. Life has been busy.

I have a daughter who is interested in cosmetology. Someone suggested the local school district and their vocational program, but beyond that is there anything else we can look into for high school? I looked at the community college here and didn't see a program there for it. (thinking dual enrollment) I'm in central Ohio, if that makes a difference.

    Thanks so much!

I have a number of friends in central Ohio who are stylists. I will ask around for you. :)

None that I know of for high schoolers. I know there's several for graduates, but I don't know which are good and which are fly-by-night.

Couldn't find out anything about a dual enrollment for high school in any of the programs that my friends have used. Most started in high school through the vocational program. Here are a couple of the schools they used.

Maybe call and see what they suggest. I am sure it wouldn't be the first time this question was asked. :)

I would suggest your daughter enroll in a cosmetology school after high school. My daughter's school (the Aveda Institute in NYC) requires a "High School Diploma or GED Certification. Degree or Official Transcript".

HERE's an informative article that may help.
