My youngest is 10.. she loves dollhouses! She was given one a few yrs ago when she was 5 or so... well she wants another one. She plays with it all the time. but the one she has fallen in love with, but it is a fisher price one for 3yr olds and up... My question: would you get your daughter this one or find a more age app. one... http://www.walmart.com/ip/Fisher-Price-Loving-Grand-Dollhouse/10298112
why did she fall in love with it? Does it look like the one she has? Did she see a commercial or see it n the store? My suggestion is open her mind up to ones she hasn't seen yet. Check webstites and Amazon to check them out more then show her the other ones out there that you can afford and would fit in her room. She won't play with one she isn't in love with.
is this it? I think its adorable! http://www.walmart.com/ip/Fisher-Price-Loving-Grand-Dollhouse/10298112#BVSecondaryCustomerRatings
That is DARLING!! My 11 year old would play with that and I have no problems with buying something like that because I know she will love it.. GET IT FOR HER!! It's CUTE!! I may have to buy that as well.. BOTH my girls would LOVE it...

My dd7 has that one. I love it! Has she seen other options that what they have at Wal-Mart? Also, how much are you willing to spend? I've seen some beautiful dollhouses at Hobby Lobby but they're kind of pricey. If she really plays with it a lot, though, it might be worth it. ETA: My dd10 plays with it too. I don't see anything wrong with getting it for her if that's the one she really loves.
this is it! I asked and showed her others, including the build your own kits and she said that she did not like them as much.... I think I will get it for her, after I show it to her daddy! I am glad that other 10 and 11 yr olds would play with it!
I would get it for her, then ease her into the doll-house making world a little at a time. I'd also buy her the supplies (or a kit) to make something for it; like a bed or a closet or other furniture. But only the one thing. Perhaps if you did a bed you could help her build the frame, paint the headboard, then make the mattress, choose cloth for the bedding, etc. She might fall in love with building something custom, or she'll hate it and never want to make her own things. Either way, she'll have been introduced to the idea and she'll know for certain which way she wants to go in the future. But I'm with the others- if this is the house she wants, get it.
