    I have a question...I just thought of.

Pam mentioned the postcard she will be sending. For me, part of the fun is seeing all the pictures and such of where they have been. Will we still get those things? I know I plan taking pictures of the "flats" with each thing we do with them, so we should make enough copies for everyone to have their own, right? That way, we can scrapbook the pics and such for a keepsake.

OH...and the SASE is a great idea!

You guys are right, bills rather than change and manilla envelope size are good. :) A SASE for your return stuff would also be helpful. Again, Send the flat to me first so your flat can go everywhere.. right from the beginning. When you get the package, it'll have everyones flat in it for you to host.

The idea is to send stuff back for each flat.. so the flat makers can use it in a nice geography lesson, When I get the flats I'll make it all organized in the package so you can figure what goes with each flat.

I think a max of 10 days per house is a good timeframe? That would give plenty of time to do stuff with the flats before sending them on, and if you want to send it on sooner that would be fine as well.

    Did I forget anything? Questions?

Yeah I was picturing that we'd get seperate stuff for each flat.. I should have made that part clearer, sorry.

I'm going to take pictures, too. Maybe we could just upload those, so that everyone takes care of their own expense, and it keeps the costs of postage down. Would that work? I'll print them if I need to.

How many people are participating so far?

Well so far I have three peoples addresses plus me... The more the merrier I think :)

Sami has decided to make Kaylee the Flat Butterfly.

For pictures we could do it either way.. if people have a scanner to upload them (And then others print tham out at home) that would save postage, if not having the picture would be nice too. I think I can get my mom to let me print them out for Sami at ehr house since I have no printer.

Sami just picked Butterflies because that is her newest craze.. Butterflies! (It just occured to me that Butterflies are already flat!) LOL I guess I should have encouraged her to go with something more related to our area.

We're sending our flat chickens today. It'll be fun to see where all they roost! We included a bunch of stamps & a SASE.

So are we making one for each host family? We have finished one farmer. If we are making one per family, we'll have to get busy tomorrow!. We have dance classes this afternoon and won't have time to do any more today. I plan to get them to Syele by the end of the week. Got to go get the envelopes, too. This is going to be great! My kids are looking for ward to seeing where our farmer goes and hosting the other flats!

We sent out our "Flat Lindsey" today. We only made one....I was thinking we only send one around to all the diferent host families. Right? I also put $5 and an addressed envelope to mail it back in. I bought stamps and completely spaced putting them in with everything. SORRY!

Can't wait for this to get started....will be so fun!

I can see how the words "flat chickens" may have been misleading. Since our "flat" represents our twins, we enclosed ONE picture of TWO chickens--actually a rooster & a hen. 'Hope this explains that. Oh, the places they'll go! :)

Nope no need for one per host... but if each of your kids wants to make their own flat that is ok :) Heh, all of them sound so cute!

Sami's butterfly is complete and awaiting it's flight.

Hey Tmom...I think since Syele is still waiting on another flat something, you can probably still get in. But you'll have to get it done and sent to Syele as soon as you can. I would pm her to get her address. I am glad you are going to get into it...Our "Flat Lindsey" really wanted to go to California!! :)

When I have all the flats I will start a new thread for posting pictures (For those who want to upload them instead of mail them) and to track the Flats progress around the country. :)
