I think I saw them someplace.. maybe OTC?
I am looking for cheap in pad style stamps that represent countries, or whatever geographically located places... I will make my own but would rather not do that part... help?

We did passports last year using stickers from an "around the world" sticker book. If this is something that would work for you, let me know and I'll look up the name for you. It was part of our geography unit through MFW.

We're doing MFW this year (Exploring Countries and Cultures), I got my passports from that Lutheran Mission (I think it's LCMS). On their website, you can download stickers. I've downloaded them and will just manually fill in when they're missing a country.

You can also order country stickers from Highlights that correspond to their Top Secret Adventures - and they're CHEAP. They don't have all the countries, but they have like 30 or so.

    :)

Jackie - our curricula is starting in North America - can that be added? I think we're there for 6 weeks. :) I would love it if we could be a part. :)

The sticker book is called "Flags of the World". It ran around five dollars. There is a big DK in the corner but can't recall what it stands for.

Krista, Rachael has the Bible Bee all day today, so we're busy. I'll try to get a North America page up tomorrow. Then anything your kids do...reports, projects, etc., send to me and we'll get it on there. This is a pretty much "anything is fine" kind of site, or at least that's the goal! (Oh, and anyone who wants to keep the Bible Bee contestants in your prayers today.... These kids have been doing MAJOR Bible memorization! Rachael has 93 verses word-perfect, and it's only a fraction of what she was SUPPOSE to have down, because it's been such a busy summer. But that's still one heck of a lot of verses that she DIDN'T know two months ago! Pray that all the kids can do their very best, and the verses they've learned will stay with them for the rest of their lives!)

Thanks Jackie - NO RUSH!!! Like I said, we aren't getting to an actual continent until 9/20....so you got time! :) FOR SURE!

Our curricula does a review of continents, oceans, mapreading, etc. for the first two weeks....so we're still in all that... :)

We were starting with Central America but we are going to do a quick run through North America as well. The class starts on the 10th so I will have more input then.
OH! And Greenland! it is included in our north america section. I am using Trail Guides to Geography as a spine, and that was where it started, considering life is kind of hecktic here right now I decided to use its order instead of explaining why our lessons have a different order I am however allowing the students to choose a country on that date so we will have stuff about in a week or so to post? IS that good?
OH! Maybe the Passports! That would be fun to put up too! We have a link on the passport thread.

Am taking a break from the Bible Bee right now. I got talking to a lovely American/Egyptian family. The wife was born in the USA, and the husband's family came to America when he was an infant, so both were raised here. But they attend a Coptic church here, and have close Egyptian ties. I told them what we were trying to do, and he said he'd love to post something for us. And she has some Egyptian recipes!
