My granddad passed away this early this morning. I was able to get a flight that we can afford. It'll stretch us, but it's doable. I'll be flying out around lunchtime. Pray for my family. My dh is going to be holding down the fort here, and he's never had all the kids by himself for 5 days. DD12 and DD6 are having their first swim meet of the season this weekend, and I'm going to miss it. I'm disappointed in that, but know I need to go. I'll be home Sunday.
Am very sorry to hear about your g'dad. Tell the girls that Grandad will be watching them swim from Heaven, and to "do it for him!"

Thank you all for your prayers. My grandfather's service was beautiful. It was a great blend of all he stood for- his service to our country and to God. It was great to spend time with my family, though I certainly wish the circumstances had been different.
