Getting a pedicure!!!!!!!! I have not had one since I was pregnant with Grace. Yesterday my best friend and I went out for girls day. We went to Cafe Adobe and had our lunch and margaritas on the patio by a waterfall. We were supposed to go get pedicures after lunch but we were having such a good time we stayed at teh restaurant too long and by the time we left and did a bit of shopping she had to get home to get her kids from their dad. So I went today. Alone. By myself. With no kids. Did I mention the kids didn't come? Oh they tried. But no way sista! So today when my wonderful hubby got home I left. And I spent more than I had planned. I had intended on getting the regular old pedicure and nothing more but of course I splurged. And my hubby was so happy I did. He wanted me to pamper myself. So I got the full blown ultimate spa pedicure complete with full leg massage, hot stone massage, parafin dip, hot towel treatment, polish with little flowers on my big toes and a glass of wine all while I sat in this huge chair with a built in massage function. I did not want to get up. I also got my eyebrows waxed. Samantha wants to go now so for her birthday in June I told her we'd go get manis and pedis and then go out to lunch. Aaaahhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I feel like a million bucks right now!
YOU SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! okay, jealous tirade over. congrats, woopie, yahoo, so happy for you just kidding!!! you totally deserve it...I wish we could all round up together and go get some. My feet look like my Indian ancestors did after walking the trail of tears.
Oh my gosh!! I did that today, too!!!! Only, I just did the basic pedicure. It has been sooooo long since I have done that. My dd talked me into it. She is so sweet! I picked up my best friend, we went tanning, did some shopping, went to lunch, then went for a nice long walk....it was so beautiful out today...FINALLY! Anyway, after our walk, I had to get home for the kids, but didn't want to end the fun. So dd said I should get my feet done....so I did!!! then after that, we came home waited for hubby to get home, then went for another walk with the all of us together. It has been a great day!! I really needed it.....but, back to work tomorrow... Glad you had a great time, too, Tiffany!
Leslie that is too cool! I am so glad you had a good time too! I keep smelling my feet. Really I can smell them now. They smell so good. I have to do this more often.
Ok Tiffany and Leslie I have never and I mean never done this I need to go do it. Be truthful with me is it alot of money? I guess if it makes you feel good its worth it.
I have never had a pedicure. I had a facial and manicures but never a pedicure. I hate my feet. LOL. HOwever, I think after reading this I need one. Hey, my birthday is in June...maybe I can tag along! LOL.
It depends on where you go and what you have done. They have different kinds for different prices and it will depend on where you live. I can go to River Oaks which is a ritzy area of Houston where things are normally very expensive and get a mani and pedi for $20 together. But they are just basic pedicures. I paid $25 for the one I got yesterday with all that special treatment. I have always wondered what a "hot stone massage" was and now I know. It is fabulous!
$25 for all you got! AMAZING! If it were that cheap I would go once a month. My facial alone was like $65. I didn't pay for it, it was gift from my mil.
$25? I don't think something like that here would be even close to that cheap! I've NEVER had a pedicure! KRIS, let's us young ones go get our first pedis together! 'K? I wanna go wherever Tiffany went!
The most expensive one they had was $30. My mother only pays $18 in her small town. I think their facials were $35. I also got my eyebrows waxed and that was $7. I'm going to make an appointment for us all to go together!
Oh that sounds wonderful. I've only had one pedicure in my life and it was by this 17 year old asian boy who kept drumming his hands on my feet in time to the music that was playing. I've never been back since! Amy
bahahaha amlyn......that's hilarious!!! I can't imagine THAT being terribly relaxing...that's funny stuff.
I paid $20 for my basic pedi....that includes a tip, too. Totally worth it to treat yourself every now and then!
I have never had a pedicure. The thought of somebody touching my feet is unbearable. My friends get them on a regular basis and love them. I do not know what it is, I do not like anybody touching me from the knees down.LOL
Patty, My mom is like that too! My sister was going to pay for her to get a pedicure a few years ago, and my mom said she appreciated the thought, but she wouldn't be able to stand anyone touching her feet! I volunteered to take her place, but it never worked out! This is making me want to check around for something like what Tiffany got! I'd LOVE that!
Oh, I would LOVE to have a peidcure, but have never done it. I always thought it was way more expensive than that though.
Any way to get my toe nails trimmed other than by strong, rough, grease-stained hands, sometimes in front of the fire in winter, just wouldn't feel "right," somehow. 'Haven't done my own toes in decades. The only time I didn't appreciate it was once when I fell asleep in a tree house at my older beloved brother's house. It was time for another trim, and dh inlisted the "help" of older db for another of his famous pranks on his dw (me). They gave me a pedicure to rival all pedicures--they zig-zagged each toe nail, which accidentally at places went too close to the toe, and they didn't realize it. I woke up to the sound of their hilarous laughing. I didn't laugh. But I've been delighted with all the other trims. Usually they come with a fabulous footrub. Have I mentioned lately that my husband loves me?
