We use HWOT and oh is it simple . Both mine love it compared to a few others. If you have any questions...just ask them. Tammy
I'm not sure what age or level you are looking for. I started my ds, at six with "My Printing Book" and my third grader in "Cursive". His was yellow, hers hot pink and they were both the first in the printing and cursive series. I did order the teacher manual(s) but they aren't necessary as the student workbook do an excellent job. HTH Tammy
I'm using Letters and Numbers for Me with my 5yo twins. It is the orange book and I think the first in the HWT series. My kids knew how to write all their letters, but I could see that they weren't using correct technique, and HWT has been wonderful for them. I did get the teacher's manual and it has little pointers and memory jogs to help them remember where to start their letters and which direction to go. I love this course, it is very simple and not cluttered up with lots of 'extras' on each page. I can't believe the improvement the kids have shown. When I was trying to order the books I needed it was a little confusing trying to figure out what books would work best for us. HWT has a lot of materials that go-along with the course. So I just decided to start at the beginning. I got the manuel for me and each kid got a workbook. My dad made the wood pieces (saved a lot of money), I bought a cheap little slate at Walmart, and we were off and running. I will definitely stick with HWT all the way through cursive. Hope this helps. Megan
