Hi everyone, I just found this. Looks like a great forum. I am a servant of Jesus Christ since Nov. 11, 1986, wife to Doug since March 24, 1995, mom to Robert, almost 16 (next month), Mary 10 (11 in Oct.), Caleb, 9 in 3 weeks on Sept. 2, Ashley 7 on Sept. 8th, Chris 4 1/2. Hopefully more to come in the future. We're trying anyway. It's all in God's timing anyway. We have homeschooled since Dec. 11th, 2005 when Mary's previous teacher and principal said that "she can't learn and I need to accept that," yeah right. :roll: She is learning and doing great. Robert lives with his grandparents in SC (long story-he is getting the education he needs-very smart and will be taking college classes beginning next month at USC). Caleb has high funtioning autism and didn't do well in the ps system. Not many of those kids do. He is doing much better now. Ashley is homeschooled because she is still very much a "mama's girl" Chris is the only one so far that will be able to claim "homeschooled pre-k to college." Ashley did do preschool and kindergarden, but it was a nightmare for her. So, she will be homeschooled 1st through 12th. Sorry this is so long. God Bless You All, Zeemama

My name is Kris I travel in a rv with dh and two dd's whom I have hs for 6 years and enjoy it... I have a nephew who lives in Iowa who has a 14 year old boy who is autism. Welcome! I'm Jackie, in central Ohio! Be sure to link up with my former roomie, Marylyn! She's homeschooling her two daughters, both with mild autism. The younger might be in Special Needs Preschool, come to think of it. Either way, I'm sure you and her would have a lot in common!
