There was a HS family on sometime last fall. The mom had fostered / adopted several boys of all age ranges. Each of these children were so wonderful and so grateful to have been placed with such a loving and caring woman.

I am certain it was a different episode because, if memory serves, they built the school room inside the house.

The school room that was built was cute. I am not sure how that would work here for us. We kind of spread out on either the kitchen or dining room tables.

That's the one we're talking about. I thought it was a separate building, but I could be wrong. I just know it was Ty's secret project for the week.

One of these days, when we own our own home, we'll build a small outbuilding for schooling. It probably won't look like a classroom like that one did, but it will be a place to take refuge from distractions... and for storage. This is only our first go 'round and we're already overflowing the bookshelf...lol.

I think my kids do better spreading out on couches and floors also. However, my two youngest like to sit at a desk for certain things. We have my dh's old desk and a small table that some friends gave us that they use when they feel the urge for quiet and a desk.

I'm not sure how much we'd use a separate homeschool room, but if it was provided for us in that manner, with laptops and everything, I think we'd put it to good use! ;)

Wish I could see that show again, I kind of forgot about it, and I love it when they air positive things about homeschooling!
