With my kids I got pregnant when I stopped thinking about it.

1st one - I quit a stressful job and got pregnant the next week HA!
2nd one - when we were out of town during the "prime time" and weren't taking advantage of *prime time*. Anyway...must have got pregnant the day after we got back.

Stress is a horrible thing on our bodies and even though we know it...sometimes it's hard not to think about certain things. Be thankful for what you have and enjoy the ride.

I've known too many people who try for years and never conceive until something changes (new job, adoption of a child, whatever) then WAHOO! :D

    Just keep practicing! :p

Here is something interesting to add to She's post. I was way "late" for me and I was so excited cuz that has only happened two other times :D . I then had a negative pregnancy test and I told my best friend, "well, I bet I start tomorrow now that I've had a jolt to my psyche." And sure enough, I did. I had let my desire consume me. It was like I woke up! I realized that I had been neglecting my home and myself and immersing myself in thoughts and prayers to conceive. Not that praying without ceasing is bad, but when you let your thoughts and desires consume you and take you away from life you need to be still and let God handle it.

It's kinda funny, I've been reading scripture on women that prayed for children. And nowhere have I found a woman that did more than bring her petition before the Lord and leave it there....of course it always says that her husband knew her after that and the Lord remembered her. So I guess it is time for me to relax and get to know my hubby better ;) . All joking aside, I totally believe in praying for the things that we want and need, but to keep begging seems like a distrusting thing to do. I know that I tell my kids that I heard their request and I will take care of it. They don't need to keep begging me for what I WANT to do for them. Anyway, just my take.

Oh, and She, my hubby and I always laughed that when we decided to have a baby we didn't even wait for the missed cycle....when that day came around we just took the test and poof! Guess I was spoiled the times before and need to patient this time around. I don't know that I have ever prayed for this kind of miracle before (devine surgery reversal) and it has thrown me for a loop!

Brook - You sound like me. For years I prayed and too many times let it consume me to become pregnant. I still have to remind myself at times with many things to let go and let God. I have some control issues and its stupid because ultimatly God has final say so. I am still learning to this day to give it all to Him. My hubby laughs at me because to help me with this I imagine God sitting at His throne and I put whatever it is that I am worried about at His feet. Just that little visual in my head really helps me to let go and let God. :) He knows my hearts desire. I have many times read Jer. 29:11 when I let other things worry me.
God has provided a financial way for us to have a vasectomy reversal. It was truly a miricle how it came about. We have just started trying to get pregnant. :)
