Ok girls....I bought the SOS curriculum for dd. I am so excited! I found it on Ebay for $75 no shipping. It is brand new and comes with everything you need to install it. DD is chomping at the bit to get this. :)

Now...I still need to find the SOS for grade 6 or 7...or both! After the issue with the direction for repeating decimals, I have realized I need to change things asap. So if anyone has any idea of where I can look...please let me know.

I have looked at homescoolclassifieds.com and Ebay...but is there anywhere else I can look to buy used or discounted curriculum?

    Thanks!

OK, remind me again! What's SOS? (All I know is I don't use it, but I may have a friend who does. I've one person in mind. Her youngest is Rachael's age, so if she has it, she would just about be done with what you want.)

Yay! Glad you found that! That's a rare one to have no shipping! Great snag! :)

I don't know where to find a good deal on SOS, but I wanted to congratulate you on your find!

Barnes and Noble (http://www.bn.com) as well as amazon.com sell new and used copies from their authorized dealers.
Just type in Switched on Schoolhouse under search and it will bring up all new and used copies.
I have used Barnes and Noble dealers before when my DH needed to buy books for college (last year) and they proved trust worthy. I have not used amazon.com personally (for used items) so I can't comment on them.

    Awww mannnnnn!!1 I'm jealous now!

We still have to get a computer - we have THREE MAC's in the house and not 1 PC at all!

We did have a PC for a while, but God allowed us to give it to some friends who homeschool and REALLY needed it. We both felt convicted that God wanted us to do it. So I guess, if we're supposed to go with SOS I should trust that God will give us a computer, right?

    AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

I was under the impression that modern macs could run an immulation program that allowed them to run programs intended to run under windows.

SOS , is not using especially sophisticated programing from what I can tell, It would seem that it would run successfully in such an environment if other more complex programs such as Microsoft office can.
