    Hey Kris.....

Glad you came on over! I was beginning to wonder if everyone had a chance to read Sandy's post about the forum here. But it looks like a lot of us came on over.........

Well let me see summer plans?? I really don't take off for the summer, except for swimming and we pick one summer camp to do. The camp is only for one week for 2 hours each day. Its an architect class out of legos, erectors, etc. I won't do more than that since the library changes its reading time for the summer and we do several reading programs for free books.

Barnes and noble has read 8 books or is 10, anyway you get one free book..the limit is 2 free books per child. So for us it can be as much as 6 free books!!!:D

Then Sheila in Texas and I will be putting on a *New Homeschoolers night* in Bryan/College Station in July. I couldn't remember where you said you lived. But we invited the president and wife of the Texas HSC to be our speakers... THEY ACCEPTED! So we are beside ourselves...:D :D We will be busy this month inviting all the local groups and we want to invite local businessmen/women so that they will start carrying more of our curriculum, and otherwise let them know WE ARE HERE and we are a growing multitude! Furthermore, we are not going away!!!!:p Can you tell we are excited???

Any-o-hoo my next days will be filled with lots of fun and hopefully exciting activities.. I still do though maintain a pretty full schedule of homeschooling since its soooo hot here in Texas:rolleyes:  to do anything else!! YOU KNOW!! LOL

We like to play when its spring or fall! So we keep a pluggin otherwise.....

Oh well, glad you made it over!

    Blessings

We just keep on plugging along. My theory is that if we just keep on stuffing that head in little chunks then it will stay in there better than cram it all in and then take off for 3 months. :)

Plus it allows us to take off time when we want to rather than having someone tell us when we can. I've only been *knowingly* doing this for a year and I'm already a spoiled brat. HA! :D

Yes, Tina and I are tickled pink about our Homeschooler Open House!!! We are going to have awesome speakers, do some recognition, acknowledgement of groups, etc..., etc..., etc... oh yeh and have some snacks. I gotta have food! :D :D :D :D

My goal for the summer is to get our school stuff in a more organized/less cluttered fashion. It's close but...I just can't seem to keep on top of my desk because everything gets piled on my desk. ugh! Also, I've got some homeschooling books that I plan to read and others I plan to skim. :) Then of course there are the vacations and fun days that we take off just to be silly. Oh wait those silly days count since ds is only 5. HA!
