http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/18791773/ First of all why were two kindergarteners left unsupervised in the bushes. Secondly, is this the best way to handle this situation? This just reaffirms my decision to homeschool. It doesn't give many details. Is this simply a case of a couple of unsupervised kids being curious? The kids are 7 years old, what do you all think?
While there aren't many details provided, I would like to believe that at 7 they are still innocent enough for this to be harmless. Instead of punishing the kids, maybe someone should figure out why they were alone in the first place and how they were able to be alone. Stories like these reaffirm my decision to keep my kids at home.
Since it doesn't say anything about what was going on. It seems to me that if there were 'more to the story' it definately would have been told.
Isn't 7 a little too old for Kinder? My kids were ending 1st grade entering 2nd grade at 2 (turning 8 while in 2nd grade). At report card pick up in last fall I over heard the teacher talking to the mom ahead of us about ALOT of the provocative attire and vocabulary that the kids in her 2nd grade (more so the girls I heard her specify) were behaving. Some of the things this teacher was telling this mother just floored me. Someone I worked with used to tell me how her daughter who was at the time 5 and in kindergarten LOVED to dress in her 3 year old sisters pants because it made her rear end look tighter. It is crazy.
I have to agree with timkelmom and Nellie theres not enough information to go on to say what happen and why the children were left alone. they might of not have been doing anything wrong but talking.(lets hope). we can just pray for them and the whole case.
