Just seen your post for a host, for your flats...

I don't know if you recall us but you hosted my little girls flat around 1 and 1/2 to 2 years ago. The flat was called "Daisy Head". My DD was around 7 years old when she made it... You kept emailing that you would send it back home to her... I still have all our emails... I know life can get crazy and time goes by and we all have a life, but gee what would it take to put my little girls little flat in the mail? You don't need to send anything but the flat back. She still asks me what ever happened to it, even now...
Sorry to post this way, but I have been VERY nice about this. And have only posted/emailed you in a very polite way till now.
I would just love to someday get my now 9 year olds flat back.
You did have our address, if you no longer do you can email me for it.
Hope you see this soon, thanks for your time. And we would just love to see the flat come home.

    Hi Jimmie Lu,

Haven't seen ya in awhile! Welcome back! We could probably host one if you like. We did one for someone else, and it was pretty fun! We even took him to a barber to get his hair cut! Hee Hee--the barber thought it was hilairous, and put the thing around him while he "cut his hair", just like the ones they regularly use! Not sure what we'd do this time, but will come up with something!

chee there is a book Flat Stanley, by Jeff Brown, Stanley get flattened by a bulletin board. So then he is flat enough to visit his friends by mail.. so kids are reading the book and sending their flattened people to visit far away lands by mail. :)

I haven't read the book yet but it sounds so cute. the school I teach at had a class do them and had them all up on the wall in the hallway there for awhile.

Lorna and I are doing one, well I should say I am still working on one. Lorna and her children got our flat person back to us and did a GREAT job. It is soooo neat! We are finishing up her flat person she sent us and hope to get it back to her in the next week or two before the missing posters go up! LOL

I remember as a kid laying down on a large piece of paper and having a freind trace around our whole body, then we drew the clothes we were wearing and cut it out. I think I was in the second grade. Is That a flat?

No, a Flat Stanley is small enough to mail.

Most folks mail it in a brown 8 by 10 envelope or so. Kids color and dress them. They are cute.

It is loads of fun. You read the book Flat Stanley and then make one. Patterns can be gotten on line or make it yourself. Then send it to someone. They keep a journal, take pictures, and let it share their life and then send it all back to you.

we can do one for you too if you like. I could email you pictures and the journal to you. That would make it cheaper on my family with Christmas coming. It is up to you. Let me know. Mail your Stanley to me and then we would do it and just email things to your kids instead of developing pictures and loads of postage.
