My dh got a call from the BSA Council in San Antonio today. They want to interview him and if all goes well we would be in TX in Aug. or Sept. He is very excited because it is a position that he wanted, but wasn't sure he would be considered for. Please pray that if this is where God wants us, all the right doors will open for us. We are excited and a little scared since we know nothing about the San Antonio area. I think it would be an incredibly cool place to live for a while (3 year contract).
Pam, I wish you all the best, Oh SA is a wonderful city in Texas to live there so much to do, the river walk and all. You will have a wonderful time and enjoy all the fun. Keep us update.. When is his appointment with them?
The interview itself has not been set up yet. His boss wanted us to do some research on the area and make sure it was a place we'd want to be before he set up the interview. Since dh is running this council's camp, someone will have to take his place at camp during the time he is in SA interviewing. Dh's boss told him that unless he just blows the interview, he will get the job. They only call one person at a time and only those they are seriously interested in. I've been researching housing online and it seems to be comparable to where we live now. That's good to know! Thanks for your prayers.
I will be praying, too. I know you are probably ready to be done with wondering what next or where next. Keep us posted.
Update Dh got a call from San Antonio today. Unfortunately, the call came here (home) while I was at the eye dr. and dh is, of course, gone for the summer. Dh was calling to leave a message tonight with his cell phone number. We should know tomorrow when the interview will be set up. Keep praying please. This will be a huge move!
Dh talked to the SA office today. They are actually considering him and one other guy (Dh's boss told him he was the only one being considered.). He will get a call on Thursday to let him know who was chosen to interview. Dh really wants this job, so I'm anxious about whether or not it will work out.
If it is God's will it will happen. If not He must have something greater in mind. I will continue to send up my prayers for you and your family in this situation.
