Just got finished looking at OfficeMax's sale flyer in today's paper. They have some good deals on software. They have a Magic School Bus 3 pack cd-rom set for $9.99. They also have a 2 for $29.98 deal with Garfield's Typing Pal, Spongebob's Typing, Math Missions and Adventure Workshop included. One other deal is Buy 2, Get 1 free and it includes Treasure Cove/Treasure Mountain combo, Reader Rabbit 1st grade, Scooby Doo Jinx at the Sphinx, and Scooby Doo Showdown in Ghost Town. They also have some school supplies that are at really good prices.... Crayola 24 pack of crayons....25 Cents Basic 1 inch binders................50 cents Yellow Pencils 12 count..........19 cents Composition books...................59 cents and more. Just wanted to share ... By the way, the software is NOT available online. I was going to try to order it but some of it is only for sale in the store.

Just went to Staples yesterday and bought the Treasure Cove/Treasure Mountain cd-rom for $9.99. My oldest girl played for hours yesterday on it and woke up this morning and asked to play again. Also bought Reading Blaster's Vocabulary for $7.00 on clearence, has over 2000 words for 4th, 5th and 6th grades, oldest daughter loved this one also!! Just a side note about Staples, their Teacher Appreciation Day is August 14th, you receive a goody bag and extra reward $ when you use your teachers card to purchase items that day.
Ladies, keep in mind that if your child(ren) packs shoe boxes to send overseas for Christmas, there's no reason why you can't buy these supplies now and save them until then! Last year we had to pack 3 boxes (one for each of my kids), and each had school supplies that I bought in August just for that reason. Of course, we also made a trip to the Dollar Store for other stuff (socks, tooth brushes, etc.).
