The thread from Steve got me thinking. I once told my manager the story behind the song "Amazing Grace" and how the author had been deeply involved in the slave trade. His response: "Well, it was legal back then." There was no emotion in his response just a matter of fact attitude. I was floored. Legal does not equal right.
I looked up all the 'weird' laws on the books one day out of sheer curiosity one day. It's amazing all the 'legal' laws STILL on the books. In one state, it is apparently illegal to wear penny loafers...LOL Yes, legal, doesn't mean it's right. Animals were saved from cruelty before children were in this country. Says a whole lot about the human race.
