Does anyone know where I can find the books 6 through 11 that aren't to costly.
My dd is in to them books and just love them and reads all the time. She is ready for book 6. We got books 1 through 5 through scholastic for 13.00 for all five. But, I can't seem to find another group of books like that they don't want 8 to 10.00 per other books.
    Thanks

We checked most of them out at the library, but I also looked on Ebay because our library is so small and doesn't have them all. I found that most of them are on there, but don't forget to factor in the shipping. Sometimes a lot is the way to go.
We really enjoyed the books too and I wanted the kids to read them before we saw the movie. Still haven't seen the movie  , but we are looking forward to it.

You might try Sam's, if you have one in your area. I often find sets or several volumes bundled together.

They are a story about the three Baudelaire children who are orphaned. They are given to their family member, Count Olaf. He is truly despicable! Subsequently they are passed from family member to family member as Count Olaf(in clever disguises) follows them trying to get their family fortune. He kills the family members one by one(these are not gorry(sp.?) books though). We have not finished them yet, but there is generally one family member per book-each with their own wonderful qualities. We wanted to see the Lemony Snicket movie "A Series of Unfortunate Events" because it looked good, but I wanted to read them first to make sure they were okay. We enjoyed them and plan to see the movie when it comes out on video. There are 8 books? or more.. not sure. Easy reading and right for about 9-12 year olds. No Magic or Spells and such(can't stand Harry Potter).

    my daughter has those

My daughter has those. She has 8 hard back books. She hasn't read them yet. I need to make her read them. My bother gave them to her before he passed away. She will not touch them due to the fact that he gave them to her and she is saving them. I can't get it thru to my kids that he bought them things to use not to put up and keep. He would be so upset but they are doing what they think is best or the best way to handle his death for them.
