My son always draws pics with guns and swords, and all manner of weapons. Each time I see it, I am glad he is at home because I have to wonder what a teacher would say. Heck, when I was a teacher I told kids "not at school".

That's in Canada, but it could just as easily have happened here.

Why didn't they bother to ask questions before they acted like the man was a criminal.

Really?! All the people involved, teacher, principal, child services and police should all have to be strip searched and interrogated for having no common sense. Geez.

    Not surprised.

One of my sisters in law had to do a piece of creative writing when she was about 15y. She created a story of a teenage girl who runs away from home because she was being bashed and molested by her family. Pure fiction. Teacher over reacted and got the principal, counsellor and police involved. She thought it was a cry for help. Luckily the inlaws (except the dad) looked at it in a positive way, as proof of the daughters excellent writing skills.
