I did Singapore Math with my daughter all the way through the primary series. Now my younger children are just starting out and I was thinking of using MUS with them. I am not sure. What do you all think?
I need to add that the older one gets concepts pretty fast. He is already ready for gamma and would be half way through because he has taught himself everything he knows. But I also understand that you do not have to do every single page of review and can pick and chose. But he does, on his own, pick up the old Singapore Math textbooks of his older siblings and works through them on his own.
mathusee i have heard great things about both. moms in my community use both of the curriculums. we are currently using math-u-see primer. my son seems to enjoy it. the lessons are short and i can easily add more practice if he needs it. he likes making problems for me sometimes. he likes to use the blocks and the colored pencils. don't know if this helps. i think it jsut depends on what your family likes. the Math-U -See site has had great leaps since i started my son on it and there have been sum updates as well. nothing that would affect curriculum if you already have some.
