I don't kow the recipe-but there's this great "dessert" that I've seen at potlucks.... It has some sort of cake (shortbread maybe) spread on the bottom. Then the "topping" is either just straight stripes -or I've seen it done like a flag.... blueberries, cut/sliced strawberries, and either whip cream (I'm thinking coolwhip) or vanilla ice cream. The Ones I've seen have like 1 stripe blueberries, then ice cream, then strawberries, and repeat. Sorry I don't know the specifics...But I did eat it!! and it was YUMMY!!! (um, also good for 4th of July).
My Son's birthday is June 2nd, we are celebrating his birthday on the 31st. when asked what he wants for dinner, he said PIZZA..... so I guess we are not going to barbque DH really wanted to make some of his North Carolina BBQ (pulled pork with pepper vinegar sauce).
the flag dessert sounds great. I've seen simular ones usually with jello and cool whip on top and then blue berries and strawberries. We've almost always grilled something.
NOT SPAGHETTI SALAD!!! Last Sunday morning, our pastor spoke at this church about our church/mission, and asked some of our congregation to come. He said there would be a cookout at his place afterwards. We had FIVE DIFFERENT PASTA SALADS, lol!!! One of them was mine!
