Just letting everyone know that we indeed sold our house and bought another one in the new city.....I'm an Iowan now . We should have internet when we get the phone hooked up, but I'm not sure just how long that will take. I might be able to check in here....we'll see. Talk to you when we're settled!
I'm baaaaaack! Took a while to get online. Long story with the phone company. We have a cable modem now but it took a while to get installed. Anyway, I'm back!

We love it here! At least the location. Closer to work and dh's family....and all sorts of other things civilization has to offer 8) . I prefered the IL homeschooling laws, or lack thereof. Iowa has its quirks. All in all, the move went well. Then we had some things break down like the truck and our washer wore a huge hole in the outer basin . We kept reminding ourselves that it was a blessing to have the funds available to handle all the expenses. Still unpacking things. I am one of those ppl who think that everything needs to be in the most sensible place--which takes me 4 or 5 days to figure out just where the most sensible place is--before I put it anywhere. It's been a slow road to recovery :lol: .
Welcome back, Brooke! Ugh, I know what you mean about moving. Even when it's a positive move, I feel depressed. I hate packing and unpacking and the endless "where did we put that?". Praying all goes smoothly as you settle in! Blessings,
