Hello, I am Jennifer, mom to 5 daughters here on earth and one in heaven. My girls are 21, 12, 11, 8, 4 and a would be 6. I pulled my oldest out of private school in 8th grade. The 12 year old has only been homeschooled, the next two did some private school, I pulled them out in 2nd and 1st grades respectively. A new baby, 1st grader and senior in high school were more than I felt capable to handle. I didn't want to get behind in her reading and I knew she would be the one to fall through the cracks. I put both she and the 4 year old in a tiny church school (there were 12 kids in the combined 1st and 2nd grade class). We do a variety of curricula. Saxon math for the older two, Abeka for the younger one, language art pages from B&N, animal classification I found on curriclick, Apologia Science for the 7th grader, history is based on reading through the Bible (studying Egypt at the time of Abraham, then Joseph, etc.). I am pretty unorganized and attempting to homeschool 4 and eat and clean house has been difficult, so we are slowly, slowly adding structure as I can stick with each new thing. This year was going better but Christmas holidays and having all my oldest's belongings home from college while remodeling the master bath room have really done a number on my house. All that to say, hello thanks for letting me join you and I hope to be a help as time goes on, as I could use some help from cleaning or organizational gurus, ;-) Jennifer
