In light of this being an election year, Homeschool Spot my be subject to many people googling us and posting campaign propaganda in hopes of "enlightening" us. I don't want to ban political discussion among regular members if you want to discuss issues. Please share your thoughts about this. I was thinking we might be able to create a hidden forum where regular members can discuss without fear of being googled and barraged with propaganda by new signups.
I think that's a great idea too. I know I really respect a lot of the ladies (and gents) opinions on this board, and it could be great to read the 'hows' and the 'whys'. I *think* among friends, this can be a great discussion... I'm know there is the potential for any conversation on politics to became heated, but hopefully, with a few ground rules (possibly?), that could be prevented. It's always interesting how people in different places see things...the things that are important to me, my family, and my state, do not necessarily reflect that of the 'whole' country or even other states. Amanda--Thanks for asking 'us'!
Here is a link to the new subforum: http://www.homeschoolspot.com/forumdisplay.php?f=18 (Only established members will have access to this.)
I love discussing with friends, which you all are. But I do get a bit bugged when strangers come in just to stir things up. So I think it's a great idea!
That is a good idea. I think the members on this board in my opinion, have always been very respectful of each others opinions and I like that type of tone.
