My favorite consignment store is owned and run by a lady I went to school with years ago. Please keep her in your prayer tonight. Her business is on fire and it sounds like it will be beyond saving. My oldest son and another policeman tried to put the fire out with extinguishers from their cars while the fire dept. was on their way but it spread too fast to do much good. Matthew said the windows were broken out when he got there. I was going to take some things to sell tomorrow. I really hate this has happened to such a nice lady.
Praying that her loss will be minimized, and that this challenge in her life will be for good in the long run. May she have extra measures of the comfort and courage that are only found in Him.
Today i ran into one of our local firefighters and she said the fire did not burn up everything. She said the fire dept. was able to get it under control quickly because of the police officers who got there and tried to put it out. The first officer there was our oldest son. How crazy is that? Today the front of the store is boarded up and I don't know what will happen next, but I hope they will be able to open again soon. Our town is pretty small and I hate to see any of our stores close.
