    Hi all!

I have a hs friend who wants to purchase a good complete christian curriculum set, but doesn't want to pay a lot. Any recommendations? Her kids are 1st and 8th grades. Thanks!

In my opinion, the best complete curriculum for the price would be Christian Light Education (They don't sell a "kit" but they do carry all subjects) If I HAD to choose a boxed curriculum and price was not a factor, I'd go with BJU.

Rod and Staff is great for the price and beyond great for the Bible based material in each subject.

Rod & Staff is the only program that I can think of that is cheap and can be purchased as a set or in subjects.

I agree with R&S. It's not flashy... it's very old school... but it's good.

Christian Liberty Press is pretty low cost for the whole curriculum. My Father's World also isn't too pricey and is a great curriculum. I've gotten many of the readers, as well as the Spelling and Math texts from Amazon for low prices.

Another vote for Christian Light Education - I'm not sure how the upper grades are but for elementary I would recommend it. I personally buy mine one month at a time. The first month was more because I needed the teacher's manuals. Now it is about $25 a month for third grade. I feel like I'm covering all of my bases with it and it allows plenty of time for extras.
