This is the triviest trivia, I know, but I can't figure out how the average number of posts listed in our profile gets figured. Here I was gone for weeks, without a single post, and when I came back, my average was the same as it had been and immediately started to increase when I started "talking" again, seemingly without ever averaging in the silent days. Not that it matters one penny's worth, and I'm not the slightest upset about it, except that I'm too computer illiterate and so embarrassed about my not being able to figure it out that I don't want to ask anyone IRL, because I don't enjoy being laughed AT. (I do love to laugh, though.) Can anyone explain this without making me feel more stupid than I really am? Thanks!
I think the average is a combo of how many posts you have divided by how many days you've been a member?????
I enjoy working on solving mysteries. Even algebra is intriguing to me for that reason--always wondering what value the next "X" is! I'm thinking our averages might be calculated only for the days we actually post, since my average didn't decrease after being away for a l-o-n-g time.
