I thought it might be fun to get a running list of all the reasons to homeschool. I know it will be hard, but lets try to only list one per post (just to more easily count how many we can come up with).

I get to see all the "ah-ha" moments first hand.

Because public school was getting in the way of them growning up to be the kind of people we want them to be.

If Ems doesn't understand a problem, she doesn't get an "F" and then moved on to the next problem. We can work on the problem until she understands it.

    reasons

so they have the chance to see who they are, without the general expectations of societal norms placed on them.

If we are getting ready for the day and then decide we would rather go to the zoo, we can.

God lead us to home school.

My children aren't expose to other children/adults who have very little if no morals or values.

I know homeschooling works and they will be come successful adults.

Whoops, I was to put separate this out, huh. Remember you all, I have the toddler that needs to be watch closely, so I have to be quick.

Have a wonderful yippity do-dah day.

Now is that a reason to homeschool or not. LOL...I mean we are making them smart, aren't we! Guess that qualifies as a reason...so...

we have the time to really understand and explore a subject. So if there is difficulty we can get go over it and not have to move on because of time restraints.

Because of less peer pressure, my kids (which includes 2 teenagers) actually love their parents and God! So we are closer as a family than we would be otherwise, AND closer to God! I LOVE that!

Right now my son doesn't want to wear his pants. I am guessing the underwear only look would not go over well in a regular school.

My ds13 (who would be labeled ADHD if he were in school) can do his work however it feels best for him---walking around and saying and spelling his spelling words out loud, hanging upside down and sideways (he has some interesting positions he finds comfortable for studying in!) off the couch, etc.!
