We get to choose what to learn and not learn something because the government tells us to.

We can move anywhere, anytime without (too much) disruption to school.

We can move without worrying about if my child knows the right things for the new school.

i.e. When I moved in high school, it was impossible for me to find a math class that wasn't teaching stuff I already knew without having to take classes that I wouldn't get credit for (the names of classes were very different than what I already had). And I had to take some Freshman level classes as a Senior because they were required. Talk about feeling silly.

I save gas not having to drive him too and from school each day (almost no one gets bussed here).

My child could actually start K with his peer group, instead of waiting a year because he misses the cut off by 19 days.

Because I get to teach them my moral standards and not have them learn them from someone else

And because this STILL frosts my cookie
My ds 4 gets to keep the school supplies that I buy for him, even if they are all green (he is obsessed with that color)

Because my kids are eachothers best friends and there's no pressure for it to be otherwise.

And if someone trys to exclude his sister (2) then he tells them quite plainly to back off and leave her alone.

Because I'll never have to worry about s*x ed being taught to my five year old.

Yes, this does happen in my school district!
