When I started homeschooling it was in '06 and I started with First Language Lessons, dabbled with other stuff and then went to Rod and Staff for 6th-8th grade. Well there were a few things that I couldn't understand, my husband or parents let alone my daughter. Now that I have gone from FLL 1-4 to RS 3 with my younger two, I understand it. So my oldest who is now 14 and still dislikes RS and I are sitting down with RS 4 and RS 8 and having a little bit of a review. My husband says he isn't too concern about her knowing all of the technicalities of grammar but I do. It's more about me than the kids on this post cuz now I understand it. that makes me happy. Also I should have just gone straight into RS after FLL instead of trying to find something more independent. ACE, LifePacs and SOS is so not our thing. Though it make our lives easier in the LA department but it didn't.
I've put high schoolers in 6th grade R&S, and they STILL learn so much!!! We took a break this year, but I'll probably put Phillip back in it next year.
