I am so exctied. I have never scrapbooked an entire album of pictures for myself. I have done a page in a book for someone else, as a gift. But my sister is BIG into scrapbooking and even sold Creative Memories for a while. Well, she told me she has ALOT of product from CM left and if I wanted anything I could have it. So, I am getting a couple of albums and lots of stickers and embelishments. I am going to scrapbook our family vacation from last summer in Disney.

I know there are a few of you who love to scrapbook, so I thought I would share my excitement with you!

I am trying to get into it again. I recently set up a desk in my DHs office with all of my supplies. I hope to get motivated.

My biggest problem is that I have so many pics that it will cost me a fortune to print them all.

I'm glad you're motivated to get started. I hope your pages turn out great!

I LOVE to scrapbook! I try to take one evening a month where hubby is charge of the kids and I go scrapbook. I love the time to look back over our pictures and at the girls and how they have changed. Later, I like to look through the albums and remember all of happy moments! :D

Hi, I'm new here and I'm a scrapbooker also. With 4 kid (3 of them little) I don't get much time to work on them, though! I am about halfway through each of their lives in each of their albums. Albums I've actually completed are Our Wedding/Honeymoon, and various albums I've done for gifts such as my mom & me, my grandma & me, etc. Happy scrapping!

I love scrapbooking. Our Women's Ministry has a monthly scrapbook night at the church. I get lots done there. I rarely get anything done at home, because of space- no where to set it all up!

    Kris,

I remember one time in a thread LONG ago, you had asked me what "Digital Scrapbooking" was and after reading THIS thread, I realized I never got back to answer and I'm so sorry! Can you believe it's been on my mind ever since?

Digital scrapbooking is just creating scrapbook-type pages in a computer program. You could even use Microsoft Word! But there are also programs available specifically for use on the computer:

    http://scrapbooking-software-review.toptenreviews.com/creating-keepsakes-review.html

    http://www.scrapbookmax.com/site/index.php

    http://www.scrapbookflair.com/

    http://www.hallmarksoftware.com/products/hsw/default.aspx

Scrapbook Factory Deluxe and the Hallmark software are the only 2 I have any experience w/, but thought the other links looked cool, too!

Any scrappers w/ scanners out there? Or have digital pages ready to go? Let's see 'em if you don't care to share! I've been meaning to start a thread like this for quite some time. I'll try to post some of mine tomorrow.

I've been trying to go to bed a little earlier every night and don't wanna mess up my streak. I'm hoping tonight will be no later than 11:30pm Woohooo!!! :D

OH YESSSS! SCRAPBOOKING!!! :D I love it! I got to spend all day yesterday scrapbooking, and finished the going away album for our friends that moved to California---I got 11 pages done! I was THRILLED to have it done!

We have a scanner. That's one thing I still don't know how to use, though. I'd have to have dh scan pages in.

Ha Kris! That sounds like a funny threat!

"I have a scanner and know how to use it!"

Deena, have your hubby teach you! My dh is a computer dude and has the bad habit of just doing things for me when I had asked for him to show me how. So I sit in the computer chair and have to talk him through how to teach ME step-by-step.

That's how I learned what I DO know now. We actually write down the steps too, otherwise I forget them and he has to go over and over it! We just haven't got to the scanner part yet. Well, actually he DID show me a time or two, but I don't remember the steps, cuz he goes quickly and I didn't write them down.... ;)

I have the SAME problem!!! That's why I have picked up digital scrapping, too. It's all contained to the computer, yet if you print the pages, you can still add little touches. It's a fast, easy way to crank out a creative layout.

But I STILL love the rare opportunity to spread out all the supplies and tools, and cut and paste and crop and color and stick and punch and just FEEL all the papers and textures and embellishments.

We caught the last part of a Donna Dewberry episode on PBS yesterday on scrapbooking! She was painting (one stroke) on scrapbook paper, showed how to make pocket pages, and the BEST thing of all was the way she demo'd how to cover a basic spiral-bound scrapbook with fabric designs. I loved it! Wish I woulda taped it!

Unfortunately, w/ Spring Break over, yardwork, schoolwork, and my "thorn in my flesh" , this SPLINTER..ha! not much progress has been made on my scrapbook space. *sigh*

I LOVE scrapbooking!!! I have about 1/3rd of my basement "dedicated" to my hobby. I only wish I had more time on my hands sometimes.

I think really the key is to have your supplies organized well. I have one big CM bag, a rubbermaid box with handle, and a paper organizing tote. I can scrapbook without taking everything out of the bags, beacuse I know where all of it is.

Having a monthly scrapbook meeting is great!! Our church has one, but you girls could gather up a few homeschooling mom's and let the kids play (socialization!! :)) while you scrapbook.

Back when I only had 2 children (not school-age), 3 of my friends and I got together every Friday to let the kids play while we worked on our scrapbooks. Time is now my biggest obstacle, so I rarely work on them other than the once-a-month night at church.

they are talking about starting one up at our church, our big start night or day, will be a little of this and that, dd gets to teach people how to make thier own jewelery... and someone will do scrapbing and make up sales person will do facials, and maybe spa person doing spa stuff, we ahve to check with them.. gonna be a fun time, once we get it set to go!

I love the planning process and exicuting but hate the waiting to see what date will work, I really wish I could be in charge of Ladies by myself, but so far i just get to be the grunt person who does the waitint for the other person, which I could really go into haha, but I wont.. PFM! hehe
God always has a better plan for me anyway!

These pages are examples of Digital Scrapbooking.
I did them a while ago with the Hallmark software. Very simple, but still cute.

Anyone else have pages to share?

Those are SO cute! Ok...I see myself getting into the digital scrapbooking more than the "real" scrapbooking....but I still want to do a little of both. I haven't done any yet, so we'll see how my first album goes...then maybe I will try the digital. So you bought the Hallmark software? Was is expensive? Are there any online programs you can use? (I probably sould go back and re-read this thread...it probably has all this info in it!!)
