I've been looking at the plethora of books about puberty & sex on Amazon ... especially those for boys ... but they're all coming up short. I don't want something that spends half the book talking about masturbation, HIV, sexual abuse, or alternative lifestyles. I want something that mostly just gives the "how will I change" and "how does it work" information in a matter of fact way (preferably illustrations), with either implied or stated abstinence. Perhaps something from a Christian publisher? We use Abeka for health, but I haven't seen anything like what I'm looking for yet (I have or had grades 1 thru 7). It would also be nice to find a book for boys that also discusses the basics of changes in girls. Suggestions?
My son just finished reading this book. There are many scriptural quotes to give context to the concepts presented. There is also a book from the same series for younger boys and for older boys.
I second the recommendation. I liked that book and I don't remember it covering the things you mention.
