Does anyone have a list of true (can't sound them out) sight words? I've tried google and didn't really find what I was looking for.
Do a search for DOLCH words. These are the sight words that one needs to know to read the Primer-level books. There's one site that lets you print them out as flashcards. I'll see if I have it bookmarked, and will post it if I do. (Or you could do a search for Dolch words on this site, and will probably find the link!)
You could try scribd.com They have a lot of Dolch sight word printables. Lists, Flashcards, Games, etc.... Once on their sight, type in Dolch sight words and it will pull up a list of everything they have; pick what you want and print. LucyRicardo
Looks like the site I used is no longer in existence! It's probably similar to the one Lucy mentioned.
I found this fun web site while looking for the word list. http://www.edhelper.com/dolch_sight_words.htm?gclid=CPKj_92-3ZoCFQ0MDQod1ldcnw 6 Easy steps for reading. http://www.abeka.com/Resources/PDFs/SixStepsPhonicsColor.pdf
