Hi, everyone - I just wanted to say that it's a beautiful day in the Ozarks. The temperature is so mild (with a feeling of Fall in the air). My windows and doors are open (with screens, of course), and the kids have been playing nicely all morning. When they are playing so well, I let them - we'll do some reading and math work later when "brother" (4 years old) goes down for his afternoon nap. Since the kids have done so well, I've been on the computer for a while checking out my "haunts" and looking up some homeschooing things. I'll be placing an order for my home business late this afternoon, but I do all that on-line, so it's easy to work around my other daily "chores." Speaking of chores, I need to go check on some laundry and figure out what's for lunch. The kids came and asked me earlier if they could "pleeeaaassse" use the Easy Bake Oven later, and I told them we could make some some cookies and I would give them some dough to bake. That reminds me, I need to post my mom's recipe for Oatmeal Chocolate Chip cookies that I grew up with and which I make all the time - it's really good and simple (I like simple).
