I'm on the hunt for an inexpensive used laptop for Josh to run his SOS courses on, and I've run across several that only have CD drives. Does anyone know what format the SOS disks come in? Thanks so much!

They are CD's you load to hard drive (or you can opt to insert disk every time).

Just be aware that the program is rather large. You need adequate memory to run it. If a computer is lacking a DVD drive, you need to consider if it's because it's old. If it's old, it may not run SOS smoothly. The best advice I got about SOS is to look at the requirements on the box and double them. (meaning, it says you need 512 Meg of RAM. You need a Gig, at least)

True! There are so many more things in there to use .. we actually have some back up discs that we put them on because we didn't want to have the good copies carried around and lost, broken or scratched. I am not sure if you can still do this but I am considering trying this cd this week to test it out.. when I can.
I am glad this thread came up I really do need to get to this reinstalling thing here!
