We found out yesturday that he might have Intestinal Cancer. We will find out for sure this next Thursday and also find out, if it is, what stage it is in. Can you please say a prayer for him? He's still pretty young, late 50's. He's the most kindess, caring, selfless, warm hearted, and giving FIL anyone could ask for.
If he finds out have him join the cancer society in his area they can offer support and help. (especially if they need help with bills or transportation etc....) I know this is not a "good" one Jen, it can spread fast and I know thats scarry. I also know there is lots of good doctors there and medicine too. take care of your self so you can be there for Troy and his family.
Becky, he found blood in his urine. The silver lining is that usually that is a sign of it being in the first stages. If that's the case, it can be very treatable. Amy, I don't think they are worried about bills, although I appreciate the information and will pass it on. The man makes about $100,000 a year. His parents are very well off. Thanks for the prayers all. We will find out more on Thursday.
I pray that the doctors will have wisdom and that your whole family will have peace. Just the "C" word itself tends to bring panic.
Just a quick update...it looks like his dad does have cancer. We haven't gotten the final test result back yet, but they are pretty sure it is. We are still waiting to find out what stage it is in though. If in the first stages, it is very treatable. Will update again soon.
Jennie, now days they can do almost anything... we will pray they found it at a early stage.. his he going to Madison... Dh was treated twice in the Madison area there are some wonderful doctors there and they will help him... there is alot they can do now days so keep your heads high and think postive too. I know it's hard... but if they can help they will help...
Kris, I think he is going into Eau Claire (it's closer to them). I believe that is where the specialist is who he has been seeing.
Jennie, that is a good place too. Let him know we are praying for you all.. and please keep us posted.
