I have looked around and all I can find is FIAR and honestly I love it but I don't have the budget for it. The other unit studies I found I felt like they would be a little too hard for my daughter. Does anybody have any other suggestions? Thanks!

Have you looked here? They have a toddlers and preschoolers section (ages 2-4). And it's free, so anyone can afford it ;) It's one of my favorite sites.

I have quite a few other preschool sites (all free) listed here.

ETA: Just an idea, It's quite easy to do your own unit study, esp for preschool, there are tons of free worksheet printables easily searched for or, if you're good in word, make your own worksheets.

FIAR can be done fairly inexpensively. The books are only $20/each, aren't they?

Also, most of the books can be found at the library (of course, I don't know your library situation....so that can be an issue).

Also, www.homeschoolshare.com has lapbooks and things to do with each book.

Really, you could use homeschoolshare and never really ahve to buy the guides.

    HTH. :)

Have you looked into www.movingbeyondthepage.com its like FIAR but with current books and with that system you dont have to buy all the books at one time you can buy sections or get books at the library.

I was going to suggest homeschool share, but I see others beat me to it ;)

http://www.letteroftheweek.com/ is another that you might enjoy looking at.

I have also used teacher websites to get ideas. Here are a few I have looked at.

    http://www.littlegiraffes.com/
    http://www.kinderthemes.com/

This last year I have designed my own units by picking a topic such as farms and getting lots of books at the library, finding some craft ideas, going on a few field trips, etc...

ww.learningpage.com has worksheets and lesson ideas on a variety of subjects, it's free to join.

This is super helpful for me as well!!! My preschool guy seems to be feeling left out-although I don't want to overdo it...he's over starfall......

I'll use any other info too!

I have huge collections of lesson plan and unit study ideas for that age group on my web page. I didn't really pay for curriculum until my kids were in 1-2 grade.
