There isn't anything majorly wrong. I just feel like having a good whine. I thought this might be a safe place to do it since I'm fairly sure you ladies and gents have had times like this. I thought maybe I'd spare dh this time!
Last Friday night dh made a dash to DC to see Glen Beck. I'm not one of Glen Beck's biggest fans but dh rarely ever does anything like this so I kept my mouth shut. He went with a good friend from church so he wasn't alone.
That left me at home alone to take care of everything, which is fine. I didn't mind really.
He was dragging Sunday at church. Which would have been alright except ds came down with a rip roar cold Sunday night. And now all of us have it! AAARRRRGGGHHH!
Needless to say, our second week of school has been a total bust because ds felt rotten and now mommy and daddy feel rotten too. My house looks like Hurricane Katrina tried to go through and got stuck. The laundry needs done or hubby will be sorting through it for his cleanest pair of dirty undies soon. It has been in the 90's all week. Ragweed is blooming high, wide and handsome here and I'm extremely allergic. So now on top of a cold....
    you guessed it!
Sorry to sound like such a 2 yr old that needs a good whoopin'. I feel like crud right at the moment and wanted a safe place to moan and groan. Thanks for listen to me whine!

ahhhhhhhhhh you poor thing. Go take a long hot bath or shower. Let the water run on your face to open it up. Drink some hot tea with honey.. then go to bed with a good book, but before you go to bed get the vicks bottle rub vick on everyone in the family, on the bottom of there feet then put socks on, then on there chest and below there nose. Yes, its gross but it works and don't ask me why. My grandma always told me to do and I have always done it and it works.. get some rest. If I was closer I would come and help you clean.. do a little at time. Add a load of clothes then rest.

    Thanks all! I knew you'd understand.:D
Today is better. It helped to get a good nights sleep. Of course I did take enough medicine to drop a bull elephant or at least it seemed that way. lol

Kris- I remember mom using Vicks on us kids, but never on our feet. Did your grandma ever tell you why on the bottom of the feet?

Mama Bear- I spring for the cheese if you'll help me with the whine (I don't think I spelled that quite right!).

    Thanks again y'all.

When I was preggers with my youngest son I was on bedrest so that meant that I didnt leave the house for at least a week at a time.

My oldest ds who was a year and a half old started vomiting and got the runnie bunnies. Then I started blowing chunks. Well, the only possible way that we could have gotten sick was my dh bringing the germs into the house. Dh never got sick, he doesnt get stuff like that for some reason. Anyway, from that point on, I made sure he washed his hands right when he got home, used bleach or alcohol on the door knobs and washed off the jug of milk in case the person stalking the milk was sick.

Germs get around quickly, hope you guys feel better.

Awww man I would have BUSTED to go to the Restoring Honor Rally! OMG, LUUUUCCCCKKKKYYYYYYY! Sorry...that's not what you want to hear. :/

I can understand the whine. I feel like that sometimes. I, however, would be whining because I didn't get to go w/ Him if I were you! lol. Well, you said he hardly does something by himself, or travels, or whatever so maybe he needed the break. Maybe he can give you a long break and watch the kids sometime soon to balance things out, hm?

I'll tell this funny because you'll get a kick out of it. Dh didn't think he was going to be able to go. He was coordinating with his friend from church. Finally Thursday morning he gets the confirmation that everything is a go and he was soooo excited. Well, we set down to eat lunch before he goes to work and while where eating he says, " I would ask you to come but I know you don't want to so I won't ask. Thanks for being so nice about all this. I'm sure I'll have to make up for it later." Then he takes a bite of food. I must have had a dumb look on my face because he tried to swallow in a hurry and added, "That didn't come out the way I meant it! I think you know what I mean. At least I hope you do!"
    I just had to laugh!

Mama, we do the same thing here. When dh gets home, no more running to hug him, ds runs to the room & says "Hurry up & take your work clothes off & wash your hands" lol Since we started doing that....we've all been healthy. Minus this current allergy attack.
