Oh, I also started adding cream to my coffee again. After this bottle of hazelnut is gone, I am back to black with sugar. I like black, I just like flavored coffee better.

I'm still not doing great! :( I am back up a pound from last week. I spent the weekend at my sister's and ate too much junk!! This week, I've been focusing on drinking more water and trying to watch my portions.

I did go swim laps for an hour yesterday and am going to try to walk tonight. I was walking 3 miles each night my girls had swim practice, but they are on a break right now. I need to get more motivated!!

Yes, Jackie, it is the hard way to lose it. But I'm sure I'll find some of those pounds back this week.

To be honest this past week has totally overwhelmed me. I had my teeth pulled Monday, Hubby to eye doc Tuesday, and I had to take my mom to Athens to the doctor today. My house is a wreck, my mom lost the tag sticker for my brother's truck....just crazy!

I'm not betting on losing an ounce this week and will be very lucky if I don't gain. I felt bad, didn't menu plan, didn't make a grocery list, and went shopping when I didn't really feel like it or want to but it was the only time I had that I could go this week....and just grabbed things and tossed them in the cart... *sigh*

Keep in mind though ladies, especially as women, our weight will fluctuate. Be sure to weigh at the same time each time (preferably when you wake) and take note of your monthly cycle...you might find the 'weight gain' or 'no change' is hormone related. There is a app called pink pad that helps you track your cycle, symptoms and weight-it's free.

You are all helping me to stay on track and stay motivated. I am getting ready to go walking with my daughter. I am slipping a little on the water so that will be a special goal for today. Drink that water!

Keep up the good work everyone! My back is feeling better, so I might start walking with the boys again.

Patty - Have you tried using extracts for flavoring? I use a dropper of real vanilla extract in my coffee, along with some milk or spray cream (2 T of spray cream only has 15-20 calories). I know that Watkins has an inexpensive hazelnut extract, but I haven't tried it.

Josie - Hope your next week is better! I think you just might convince me to stop my almost four month wisdom teeth removal procrastination.

You should. Your teeth can really affect your health in other areas more than we realize. I haven't been procrastinating just haven't had the money...hoping tax money will beenough to get all my teeth issues taken care of...

I exercised 3x this week.. Not great but better than nothing.. I'm SORE!! Thursday the local homeschool group met to do a "fitness challenge".. I wasn't planning on going because the girls don't really like the group.. We were headed to the park to play when we saw them there and the girls got really excited and wanted to join in.. So they did.. They were tested on how many jump ropes jumps they could do in 30 seconds, how many situps, pushups, and chinups along with timed on the 50 yard dash and THE MILE!!! Dd9 ran the mile in 7 minutes.. It was the fastest time of the day. I walked at least a mile that day.. And did 20 situps. YES, even the moms had to join in.. LOL!! We showed up about an hour after they started so I didn't do all the challenges.. We aren't challenging against each other, but against our own numbers and time.. We will meet every Thursday.. And I'm REALLY excited about it.. So are the girls.. Looks like we may be a part of the homeschool group again this year.. I'm motived to keep moving even if I don't loose weight.. I WANT to be healthy.. The weight loss would just be a bonus :) Which by the way, I am back up to 150.. But, It is what it is.. I know my portion sizes are smaller, my sugar intake is WAY down.. AND I didn't have a soda for a WHOLE WEEK.. I did cave on a cupcake that probably made up for all the sugar I turned down this week... We have a new toy store that also sells cupcakes individually and I had to try one.. Lemon with LOTS of sugar icing.. Next time, I'll scrape the icing off..

Did you have them put you to sleep or have them give you gas at all? They put both options on my estimate. I'd love to just go under, but the cost.....wow

Neither, just a local (Novocaine). But I have to say I have awesome, super gentle dentists. If I didn't, I'd probably be very nervous and need gas. I'm more afraid of being put to sleep than anything else though so...never even discussed it.

My mom, however has a HUGE fear of the dentist, I'm talking the woman is in tears about it-serious fear from a really bad childhood dentist experience in the 1940's, and the laughing gas alone has always been fine for her.

I'd just talk to your dentist about your fears. Let him know cost is an issue but so is your fear. If he doesn't understand, get a new dentist! Make sure you have a signal for when the pain is getting to you. And, my tip, go in with a mental list of prayer requests, praying for others is what keeps my mind off what's going on in my mouth ;)

Holy COW! I weighed in this morning thinking I had lost a few pounds because I have been drinking water like crazy, I cut out ALL sugar, I never went back for seconds at meal time and I exercised 3 times this week....and I am at 174! That means that I lost 6 lbs this week!!!! I am super excited! In fact I thought my scale was wrong or broken so I weighed myself 3 times and then I even picked it up and pushed the reset button and well it kept saying 174! Whoooo! I didn't even change my diet other than removing sugar...I had no idea sugar was THAT bad for me. Maybe my body needed to lose extra pounds this week and next week I won't budge. ;)

I will admit it was SUPER hard to not eat any sugar especially when my kids have been snacking on candy and ice cream. I am so excited about this that I know this week will be easier to keep me on track with eating right and exercising.

    GOOD JOB!!!! Keep it up!!!

I'm PROMISING to do better this week! Which means I've drunk three glasses of water today (which is really good start for me!), and did my walking video! So that's a start! Maybe what I need to do is give a DAILY report, instead of weekly!

    Great job, Minthia!

I don't think I'll weigh in this week. I'm bloated and crabby.....and buried in snow!!! Don't need a scale to make me more crabby....lol

You are pretty brave! The first time I had two teeth pulled, the dentist gave me gas and headphones with music! I couldn't figure out why people thought getting teeth pulled was hard. The next time I had to get an upper tooth pulled by a different dentist with just local. It was horrible!

This time I have to go to an oral surgeon. You know, it isn't as much a fear thing as it is an "ick" thing. The sounds and feelings just totally gross me out, well, plus the needles. I might just do gas and mp3 player.

My soon-to-be-dil is VERY preggers, and has to get a wisdom tooth dealt with. She went to an emergency dental place on Monday who was willing to pull it without knocking her out. But there was an infection, so the local wouldn't work. He gave her a perscription for an antibiotic, and told her to contact an oral surgeon. She's talked with the midwife, and has been told that going under wouldn't hurt the baby, but....

Dental work while pregnant is always scary! But an infection would probably be worse. Hope she gets through it okay.

Okay, I'm back to weigh in. I'm down 1 more, so my new goal is 45 pounds.

I'm thinking of joining Curves (sorry, coming in late on this game! LOL :) ). We have a location about a mile from my house, and my kids are now old enough that I could conceivably sneak out for a half hour work out.

Has anyone ever done Curves before? Would love thoughts.

And thankfully, I have a hubby that's willing to support me 100%. I need to lose AT LEAST 60 lbs. I'm starting to actually "feel" uncomfortable, which I never had before. My youngest child turns 8 tomorrow....it's time to lose the pregnancy weight!!!!

    AAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!

I really liked Curves. I would go while my kids were at piano lessons. But then that one shut down, and there wasn't another close enough for me to be able to do during lessons.

I got behind on my walking but got back to it today. Drinking water has become much easier for me. I used to go to Curves but got really bored with it. Ours was pretty small and didn't have a lot to offer. I am down 14 pounds and my daughter is down 10.7. We are really pleased with that.

I fell off the wagon :/ Not so sure I'm gonna be able to do this.. I thought I really wanted to, but it seems that there's just too much going on and since I'm a stress eater I'm not doing well at all.. Not only have I given up on staying away from sugary drinks and junk food, I have been eating my usual larger portions.. I had FINALLY gotten over the cravings for sugar and instead craved oranges but I went on a sweets eating binge.. (((((sigh)))) My tummy feels awful and I'm really disappointed in myself..
