We spend so much time and effort looking after the needs and wants of our children and families for Christmas, what about you? What do you want for Christmas?

Mine is simple... Bubble bath and lots of it :D

Me WOW you mean I can choose something. Scott does buy me something nice each year.Last year I got a digital camera and the kids buy gifts too.

This year I would like no fussing for a day. Any kind of fussing, hitting, turning tv without asking first, just no kid arguing at all for 1 day.

Oh my Lorna! Wouldn't that be any mothers dream... I actually asked for that when I was living at home with Mom and my sisters (my older sister and I also had a child each and it wasn't pleasant).

Tracy and I exchange gifts...well, when he doesn't find what I got for him and open it before hand... he's worse than the kids any day (this year, I'll hide his stuff at his cousins house until Christmas Eve).

Maid for a day sounds good too.

I'm a realist. I know I'll never get the maid or the peace and quiet. So, I'll be greedy....I want a dvd recorder with vhs. I've been wanting one for a while. Maybe DH will get it his year if I order it myself and wrap it with a nametag on it from him, lol. DH is like a real kid at Christmas. He likes lots of presents to be given. So, anything we've been wanting and haven't bought during the year usually is bought at Christmas (if the price is in reason).

That sounds like a fun Christmas. I would hate to see the reciepts afterwards.

    Great thread!!

Dh and quit giving gifts the year I quit work to stay home with the kids (money is just too tight). We do fill each other's stocking but we put a $20 limit on it for each other.

If I could have any wish?????

    ......oh, think of the possibilities........

I would like a copy machine (I'm a romantic, I know! ). I'm constantly needing copies for school and I'm running the toner out of my computer printer with all the last minute copies I've been making.

I want a chair for my computer desk. Right now I have a folding chair and a couch in the living room and I'm sick of this folding chair. Since I'm just dreaming I'll ask Santa for a big fancy comfy Office chair that swivels and has arm rests. LOL

We use a kitchen chair too, but I guess it's convenient because we have a computer armoir to hide the computer so a chair sitting out next to it would look silly.

This sounds weird, but I would like one of those swiffer vaccum sweepers. Anyone have one? I would like to know if they work well. If so, I really want one. It would make cleaning up after the kids so much easier everyday. I hate sweeping!!! And our vaccum works for crud on bare floors. It just spits it out the backend.

One year I got a gift certificate for a message at a day spa. That was so nice. I could really use one of those this year. If we had a fenced in yard I'd ask for a dog, but that wont happen until we get a fence up, if that every happens. I would also like some nicer dress clothes for church and some really nice bras and panties. I'm done with buying them from Walmart, but Victoria Secrets is just not in our budget.

Since we are only wishful thinking, I would like a new houseful of furniture and carpet. Ours is so worn & embarrassing but it is just getting comfy.
How come we buy for everyone but ourselves. We never treat ourselves very often. Nice to dream.

oh, yeah! paid off house would be wonderful! And to be a SAHM again would be better yet!

Uh, I think in reality I would like an electric can opener. I would love a new computer desk and chair but I know dh would never get me anything that might make me want to be at the computer more often ;). In reality he always seems to buy me something like a back massager, lumbar support pillows, foot bath......we have a joke between us that this year I'm getting a walker!

Okay, I tried, but I don't know----what is a SAHM? (The closest thing I could come up with was Single and Happily Married, but that didn't make sense!) :)

I'd like a better digital camera, a recliner, scrapbook stuff, another mission trip somewhere, and lots of hugs and kisses from my family!

    ***hijack

we have a newfoundland dog who is shedding hair constantly. In my old house with carpets everywhere, I went through two really nice vaccuums where the motor just burned out because his hair would get caught around the beaters which in turn would break the belt. After that happening day after day for a couple months, the motor would burn out. We finally broke down and got a shop vac with attachments. It is a dream (I never thought I would say that about a shop vac  ) In the house we are in now it is all hardwoods. The shop vac works just a well here! HTH!

    end hijack***

my dream present would be a serger or an embroidery machine - both super expensive so it won't happen for a long time. ah, oh well

I have had every type of Swiffer and sweeper. I most recently got one of those old-fashioned sweepers that you push and it collects the trash. Nothing works as good as a little Dirt Devil. I use that on the crumbs and such. Even my kids can work that. I also have a Roomba that I put down frequently to get the extra stuff.

Oh Jen you can have my swiffer vacume thingy, I never use it! It isn't as magical as the comercial, it does ok with tiny little stuff, but with the kids scraps of paper here and there, large crumbs, and such have me sweeping any way! But its good on glitter, sugar and flour spills. I want a new swiffer mop the one I have doesn't have the little scruber pad that would make life so much easier! Especialy when a sticker falls onto the floor or something.

Bras! (over the shoulder bolder holders!!) I can't go to Victoria Secrets they don't make delux models-- last I saw. You know what I mean the kind for "full figured women" The kind that come in white or black only! UGG!

I usualy wish for scrap booking stuff. Crafty stuff. And cooking stuff.---My husband got me a kitchen Aid mixer for my birthday, our kitchen is red and Coke Cola motif, he did not understand why I did not want a red mixer, but I always wanted a cobalt blue one! (I guess I am lucky that my birtday falls right around tax return time) But christmas here is just how every one else is saying, the kids come first! My husband is learning though, one year he got me body spray that smelled like greapfruit!
He now knows that cook books, kitchen gadgets, and scrap book stuff is "safe".

heheh I'm with you on the bras... they told me one day that they did have my size.. what they ment was they could get me a small one and add extentions to the back of it to sort of "make" it fit. ummmm no.

It looks like my wish might come true though... My mom said my Grandmother is trying to get rid of a whole house of furnature! So I may get my computer chair.. a couch with a fold out bed, a REAL BED, and a recliner :) :)

I just hope it all works out!
